🌟 Grateful for Life-Insights 🌟 Some of my close friends and family already know about this journey, but I felt it was important to share it with my professional network as well. In May last year, thanks to some abnormal blood results from a Hertility report, I decided to go for an ultrasound scan to check my Antral Follicular Count (AFC). Despite experiencing zero symptoms that I thought were concerning, the numbers on the report prompted me to investigate further. During the scan, the sonographer made a shocking discovery – a ginormous ovarian cyst that was obstructing the view of my left ovary. 😱👀 I was taken aback, especially considering I hadn't experienced any pain or discomfort. Upon consultation with a specialist, it became clear that urgent surgery was necessary for the removal of the cyst. Within just 6 weeks, I found myself admitted to the hospital for Laparoscopy surgery. 🏥 To give you an idea of the severity, the cyst measured over 10cm in diameter and could have been exerting significant pressure on my ovary. Without the blood test results from Hertility, I might never have gone for the scan that led to the discovery of the cyst. I shudder to think about the potential consequences for my future family planning if it had gone unnoticed. I cannot emphasise enough how grateful I am for Hertility and its role in this journey. Their knowledge and insights proved to be life-saving, and I will forever be thankful for their existence. 💕 #HealthMatters #HertilityHealth #Ovary #Laparoscopy #Bloods #FamilyPlanning
We practice what we preach here at Hertility. So we asked a few members of our team what it means to be part of a Reproductively Responsible organisation. And frankly, we were blown away by their response. 💖 As an employer, could your employees say the same? Find out more about becoming a Reproductively Responsible workplace 👉 https://lnkd.in/ecEjj2ia

Creator of the R.A.C.E.™ Framework | Helping institutions achieve organizational excellence | Autistic | 3X published author | Public Speaker | Board Member | 'From Compliance to Community'™
Yesterday, I co-hosted a #neurodiversityatwork fireside chat with Isis Fabian - ACC, sponsored by Pulsely, in collaboration with the DEI Hub ahead of #Neurodiversity week and #autismawareness month. This first-of-its kind event was well attended and covered a wide range of topics, the most important of which was how #neurodistinct people positively affect the workplace, from the board room to the mail room. Here are a few topics we covered: • Defining #neurodiversity and its significance in fostering an inclusive workplace • Valuing what #neurodiverse perspectives bring to innovation and problem-solving • Strategies for raising awareness and educating colleagues about neurodiversity to create a more understanding and accepting work environment • The role of ERGs in supporting #neurodivergent individuals and fostering a sense of community The audience was engaged and leaned into the conversation by submitting questions before and during the talk. Here's a snapshot of the Q&A: • What’s the difference between #neurodiversity and #neurodivergence? • Where do you suggest starting when it comes to finding service providers? recommendation on styling or grouping an ERG for #neurodivergent individuals? • How can managers become more conscious of their behaviors relating to #neurodiverse employees? Watch out for the full recording to be posted here and on the DEI Hub and Pulsely platforms. Thanks again to everyone who participated and for the connections made after the event. #WeNotMe #FromCompliancetoCommunity™ Compliancetocommunity.com • Buy My Book https://amzn.to/4aoL1YV • R.A.C.E.™ Framework https://bit.ly/48XchwF

Let’s face it: Though rewarding, therapy can be a lonely profession. We’re proud of the sense of community that we’ve fostered throughout our clinical team, and today, to round out hashtag #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, we’re excited to announce that we’re strengthening that community with the launch of five employee resource groups (ERGs). While ERGs are common in tech and larger organizations, they may be a new concept for clinicians. In this new blog post from Aubrey Harrison, Ph.D., head of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Two Chairs, learn more about what ERGs are, why they’re important, and which ones you could join if you become a therapist at Two Chairs. https://lnkd.in/ggqSsKpz

Supporting your employees means, hearing them and acting on those insights. Employee Resource Groups can really help to provide that support. Read a bit more about what ERGs are and how they can help you support your clinical teams.
