If you aren't getting enough applicants for entry level child care roles, try this; 1). Pretend you are a candidate. 2). Search for your role on a mobile phone as a candidate would. 3). Apply to your role on a mobile phone. 4). Time yourself. If the whole process takes over 3 minutes, it is time for a new process. How long did it take you? Did you learn anything along the way?

Great article on creating Autism Awareness in recruiting. The interview process is set up for those that are extroverted and comfortable in social situations. Common misconceptions of lack of eye contact or restlessness tend to be perceived as unprofessional. Increasing an awareness as Hiring Professionals will result in stronger, equitable, and more inclusive environments. https://lnkd.in/gYaxDgFB

This should be worth a read...I have only had the time to read the Exec Summary and Recommendations so far, but they seem to cover very relevant and interesting topics. They include; · Initiatives to raise awareness, capitalise on productivity and reduce stigma · Supporting autistic people to begin or return to a career · Making recruitment practices meet the needs of autistic applicants · Supporting autistic people already in the workforce · Supporting autistic staff to develop their careers https://lnkd.in/e7RVJ6-K
