Cardinal Flight is a digital badge program exclusive to University of Louisville business students and signifies the completion of several career readiness NACE-inspired competencies: (1) career development, (2) communication, (3) diversity and inclusion, (4) leadership and teamwork, and (5) strategic thinking and technology. The competencies are achieved through co-curricular engagement experiences that pertain to three pillars of success: (1) academic, (2) personal, and (3) professional.

Every time I step on Purdue's campus, I am flooded with fond memories spanning across three decades – from when I started attending Purdue University to this recent weekend when I gave the commencement speech for summer graduation. I was both humbled and honored to be standing with the graduates to share some learnings from my own lived experience and how the themes of purpose, people and impact have shaped my life and career and influence how I lead. I concluded my remarks with some encouragement and advice for their journey ahead: 💡 Take time to reflect on your passions, your strengths, and the things that bring you joy – and use those reflections to define your purpose in life. 🤝 Find the people and mentors in your life who aren’t afraid to give you guidance, both openly and unselfishly, and hold those people close. And when those people in your circle give you the gift of their words and wisdom – remember to not be afraid of the constructive feedback, to not be afraid of failure. 🎁 Always remember to pay it forward and be that person to someone else. Give back the gift that you’ve been given. Be available. 👏 Take time to celebrate the achievements, the praise, the promotion, the graduation. 🌎 And finally, the world doesn't need a replica of someone else – the world needs you. So face each day, each challenge, as your authentic self – and you’ll be just fine. ❓ What advice would you give recent graduates, or what advice were you given that has resonated with you?

As Kansas City's business school, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. From the moment they arrive at UMKC, Bloch students are exposed to experiential learning and alumni mentorship opportunities. Our newest accelerated degree program, More in 4, embodies that mindset. Sparked by Nathaniel Hagedorn (MBA '04), founder and CEO at NorthPoint Development, More in 4 allows students to earn both their bachelor's and master's degrees in just four years. Wondering if you qualify or know a student who may be interested? Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gDkAYJyt
