PART FEATURE: Plug Assembly These are three of the five components that build toward an assembly that we took over manufacturing complete for a new customer that took over the project from a former customer that went out of business. These parts are challenging to machine for a few reasons: 1) the material across all components is a nickel-based alloy 2) certain features have very tight tolerances 3) all the components must fit together and match perfectly You will notice that the two outer components have a complete spherical radius on the outer diameter that, when assembled, must match so there is a smooth transition. Needless to say, the transition from the original supplier to United CGTR as the new vendor was seamless, and the quality was exceptional.
