Culture Fit vs. Value Fit: What’s the Difference and Why It Matters in Hiring As companies grow and evolve, it’s crucial to ensure employees not only have the right skills but also align with the company’s culture and values. But how can organizations assess culture fit and value fit effectively? Here’s a quick breakdown of both and the frameworks you can use: Culture Fit is about how well someone’s work style, behaviors, and attitudes align with the company’s day-to-day environment. It ensures they can thrive in your teams, collaborate effectively, and work within your business processes. Tools like behavioral interviews, personality assessments, and realistic job previews help assess how well candidates fit into your unique work culture. Value Fit goes deeper and focuses on whether a person’s personal beliefs align with the company’s long-term mission and ethics. Assessments like values-based interviews, ethical dilemma scenarios, and organizational value surveys ensure candidates share your organization’s purpose and are driven by the same guiding principles. Blending Both Fit Assessments: Using a combination of job simulations, psychometric tests, and peer assessments gives a holistic view of how well a candidate matches both your culture and values—leading to better hires, stronger retention, and higher employee satisfaction. Remember, a great hire isn’t just someone who can do the job, but someone who believes in your mission and thrives in your environment. What frameworks do you use to assess culture and value fit? Let’s share best practices in the comments! #Hiring #TalentAcquisition #CultureFit #ValueFit #CompanyCulture #EmployeeEngagement #Leadership
Menyeimbangkan culture fit dan values fit adalah kunci untuk merekrut talenta terbaik! 🎯 Culture fit memastikan keharmonisan tim, sementara values fit menyelaraskan keyakinan pribadi dengan misi perusahaan. Prof. Yos E Sutanto MD, PhD launched PRIMA Corporate Culture at Evasari Hospital Jakarta on October 25, 2016, and since then, at the start of each year, I have traveled from one hospital in the Awal Bros Hospital group to another to build and manage PRIMA culture. Of course, multiple strategies have been used since its introduction, activation, strengthening, and even boosting. It may appear easier to apply a problem-solving approach to cultural issues, but encouraging good conduct is likely to be more beneficial in the long run. Embracing a more supportive approach and recognizing employees who embody your beliefs can help to enhance company culture. One of the most essential decisions can make is to match right culture to the proper brand identity. Your corporate culture influences how decision-making are made, from the executive suite to the front-line staff. What are the ideas you have for infusing corporate culture into your workplace? #Corporate Culture #Managing Culture #Service Mind Set #Service with Love #Hospital #RS Awal Bros # PRIMA

In celebration of National Batik Day, we honor the beauty and rich heritage of Indonesia's priceless cultural treasure. Batik is more than just fabric; it’s a masterpiece of art that reflects our identity, local wisdom, and the long history of our nation. As we celebrate today, it’s also a reminder of how deeply connected our traditions are to our everyday lives, including the workplace. Wearing batik is a simple yet meaningful way for employees to embrace cultural pride and unity. It fosters a sense of belonging and shared values, reminding us that diversity is our strength—both in our culture and in the work we do. Each batik pattern holds deep meaning, symbolizing the wealth of our culture and boundless creativity. In the recruiting industry, finding balance is crucial for success and fulfillment. The ancient Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang provides a timeless framework for achieving harmony between seemingly opposing forces. This can apply to balancing work and life: Work (Yang): Represents energy, activity, and achievement. It drives our ambition and pushes us to grow. Life (Yin): Embodies rest, relaxation, and reflection. It recharges us and maintains our mental well-being. On my team, we do everything we can to encourage healthy competition but also maintain a focus on collaboration. Striking this balance enables both individual and collective growth. Competition (Yang): Sparks innovation and motivates us to excel. Collaboration (Yin): Builds connections and fosters teamwork, leading to shared success. Incorporating Yin and Yang into our lives reminds us that harmony arises when opposites coexist. By recognizing the interplay of these forces, we can navigate challenges and create a more balanced, fulfilling life. As I have built (and rebuilt) teams here at IEX, I've learned a lot and continue to work to improve and incorporate this philosophy in all aspects of my personal and professional life. #balance #yinyang #recruiting

Promoting Inclusion, Understanding, and Company Values through MVV and D&I Month Last June, as being conducted in all Mitsui’s organizations globally, PT Mitsui Indonesia were celebrating MVV (Mission, Vision, and Values) and D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) Month, as an annual celebratory to promote our values, especially "Thrive on Diversity". In our Medium-Term Management Plan 2026, we have positioned "Inclusion" as an important initiative to promote the success of diverse individuals on a global scale as we aim to create new value worldwide. To keep promoting Mitsui's values especially related with D&I, all employees take part in group discussions/exercises. These activities encouraged employees to understand each other better, rethink Mitsui’s values, and collectively explore ways to incorporate our values into our actions to drive the transformation and growth of our company. In addition to the group discussions, Mitsui also conducted online interactive inclusion workshop and shared real case studies of good practices. Through MVV and D&I Month, we as a company have made a strong commitment to embrace our differences, foster understanding, and create a more inclusive workplace for all. #MitsuiIndonesia #Mitsui #DreamJobAtMitsuiIndonesia #Diversity #Inclusion #GlobalCompany

Highly creative, energetic, passionate and adaptable leader with a proven record of building, developing and leading diverse successful teams.
Good morning Penang! Today, I woke up to a breathtaking view of a mountain outside my window. It got me thinking, how many of us stay on one side of the mountain, never daring to climb it and see what's on the other side? We get comfortable with the same old routine day after day, never daring to step out of our comfort zones. But what if there's something better on the other side? Today, I challenge you to take that first step and climb that mountain. Who knows what you might find? It could be more of the same, or it could be something amazing. But you'll never know unless you try. Let's make this week one of exploration and growth. #outofmycomfortzone #growthmindset #penangtravels

It’s Ice Kacang lahh… senang jer! Wow! Just like this Ice Kacang or fondly known in Malaysia as ABC 🍧. I like it a lot especially on a hot day like this season’s noon time 🌞. A foundation of grass jelly, cendol and nata de coco, filled with a mountain of shaved ice, add sides of red bean paste, more green cendol, “radioactive pink colored” sago strands, and charcoal roasted peanuts, layered with gula melaka, rose syrup, coconut milk, skimmed milk and finally topped up with yellow cream corn. How’s that for the recipe, huh?! Sedappppp weiiii! As I savored and devoured the ABC, it got to me 💡 ! Recipe… you need all the ingredients to make a perfect ABC. Anything less and that means needs improvements next round. This resonates very much with me as a person, may it be personal life or at work. As I walk the journey, multiple experiences present itself and it’s for me to savor them, practice the good and learn not to repeat the bad. As I develop myself to work better, to improve my skillsets, to grow my network, to deepen my knowledge, it’s a recipe that evolves with time. Just like the ABC, when you have developed an employee to the state of “level dewa” it will get harder to retain such talent. Ongoing and further growth is needed for this person, including close engagement and future opportunities. Which ingredients to add on, maybe a bigger bowl? And oh, by the way, the next-door stall is eyeing your “god level” performer yah! 🚩 “…when my staff leave, I hire lagi lah. Apa susah? Peanuts lah! Hire a new guy lah!” You think that’s Ice Kacang? Read from the top again. 🤣 Let’s eat ABC, nice weiiii!! #hiringright #employeeretention #backofficesimplified StarBPO Malaysia
