I am excited to introduce our groundbreaking project that revolutionizes marathon photo sorting! Using advanced YOLOv8 and PaddleOCR technologies, our model categorizes images by bib numbers – the unique identifiers worn by marathon participants. This innovative project is a collaborative effort by Rajaa Tarrass, Lina El Aji, Samar EL AZZAB, Assiya Ihsane ERRABTI, and Ghita Darhoua. We trained a highly accurate model with a detection rate of up to 92% for identifying bib numbers in event photos. With a dataset of over 4000 images, YOLOv8 allowed us to pinpoint bib numbers accurately despite varying backgrounds and lighting, while PaddleOCR enabled precise reading and interpretation of these numbers.🏃♂📸 Led by the guidance of our esteemed teacher Abdelali ZAKRANI, PhD, HDR , this collective endeavor highlights the power of teamwork, with each member contributing to revolutionize the way marathon memories are organized. #MachineLearning #ComputerVision #YOLOv8 #PaddleOCR

Stable diffusion 3 is launching today! Back in September 2022, I created my first image in stable diffusion on Hugging face Gradio demo (there were no user interfaces available yet). It was astonishing to see the speed of image production, with images generated in less than a minute. Up until then we were struggling with Disco diffusion render times which were about an hour long to render just one image. Today, we have a wide range of user interfaces, models, Loras, workflows, allowing images to be generated in less than a second. And this is just the beginning of what's to come!
