Our peer-reviewed publication on the novel use of wide-field OCT and AI as a one-two combo punch to tackle breast cancer surgical oncology margins is out! You can read the details in the paper but the key statistics is 97% pathology positive margin identification while achieving 93% sensitivity and 98% specificity. Compare this number to the published results revealing 21.1% and 14.9% reoperation rates among commercially insured patients and the Medicare cohort (bit.ly/3wwMkp1). New published paper! This peer-reviewed study highlights the potential for #AI and wide-field (WF) OCT in breast cancer surgery to enhance productivity and decision making in surgical margin assessment, decreasing reoperation rates due to residual cancer. The results suggest the investigational* deep learning model accurately identified 96.8% of pathology positive margins in WF-OCT images with high sensitivity and specificity. We are excited to announce that Optiscan Imaging Ltd has received ethical clearance from the Royal Melbourne Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee to commence an in vivo clinical study focused on breast cancer. This study will showcase the capabilities of our recently unveiled InVue™ precision surgery imaging platform. The InVue™ device will be used during surgeries to collect real-time imaging data of the surgical cavity after tumor removal, aiming to determine the clearance of the tumor on the spot. 🚀 Newly published randomized trial demonstrates outcomes benefits of using Ceevra 3D models in prostatectomy🚀 In a multisite, prospective, randomized controlled trial recently published in JAMA Network Open, Ceevra, Inc. 3D digital models were shown to result in improve outcomes for patients undergoing prostate cancer surgery. Sites participating in the study included: Mayo Clinic, Mount Sinai Health System UCLA, UC Irvine, Swedish Medical Center, and UNC Health. 🔍 Key findings: Patients whose surgeon was equipped with a Ceevra 3D model arm had: Improved oncologic outcomes (measured by detectable PSA) Improved return to sexual function (measured by SHIM score) Trifecta outcomes rates that were nearly 5X those of the control arm (mpMRI only) At Ceevra, we are excited to continue driving progress in robotic surgery by providing cutting-edge 3D solutions that enhance both clinical and functional outcomes.
