Securing a Kubernetes environment isn’t easy, but there are a few places to start. First, authentication and authorization. Ensure that who’s logging in and what they’re doing once logged in is valid. Second, systems. Secure the understanding systems where Kubernetes runs. Third, scan. Most scanners use CIS and/or NVD on the backend, so having that best practice list helps a ton. Fourth, manifests. There’s a lot that can go wrong in a Kubernetes Manifest.
