Playing a crucial role in storing surplus energy from renewable sources like solar and wind, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) efficiently discharges energy during peak demand or limited renewable supply periods. Renowned for their versatility, dependability, and efficient electricity storage and delivery capabilities, BESS is extensively utilised across various industries as a dedicated backup power solution for microgrids, ensuring operations can run uninterrupted. We look forward to seeing more BESS-only sites to reduce reliance on traditional grid systems and promote renewable energy adoption on a larger scale. #renewableenergy #sustainability #southaustralia #solar #energy #australia #batterystorage

Glad to see US renewable energy, especially offshore wind and solar, is soaring. Yet one factor often overlooked is #battery storage. Advancements in wind & solar are tremendous, but do our systems sufficiently store the energy produced? It's time to assess our #EnergyIndependence stance. Despite solar power reaching the 100 gigawatt milestone, our capacity to store and distribute this clean energy effectively is just as vital. Without adequate storage solutions, businesses risk losing valuable energy through inefficiencies. When it comes to renewable energy, it’s not just about how much you can produce, but also how much you can retain. To capitalize fully on renewable sources, a robust storage solution is the key. Do your energy systems measure up? If you have lingering questions, feel free to reach out. As a renewable energy professional, I can offer the expertise required to ensure your company's renewable energy strategy, including battery storage, aligns with its overall business goals. Let us seize the opportunity that renewable energy presents and strive for not only higher production but efficient storage too. #RenewableEnergy #BatteryStorage #SolarPower #WindEnergy

Renewable Energy price cannibalisation "occurs when too much availability of renewable assets generates higher sales, thus putting pressure on power prices and driving them down." There's a simple fix to this problem for Clean Energy operators and investors: Energy Storage. 🔋 Battery system projects - such as our own Sheaf Energy Park at the landing point for the Thanet offshore wind farm - can store excess renewable energy until the grid needs it—and the price of electricity goes up. For the second consecutive year the UK battery storage pipeline has increased by two-thirds according to @RenewableUK EnergyPulse Energy Storage report. Although RenewableUK’s director of future electricity systems Barnaby Wharton, says “While there has been significant uptake in projects, we are long way from delivering the 55 GW of short-term flexibility by 2035 that the Government says we need in its Review of Electricity Market Arrangements. We have the potential to move much faster by speeding up the process of consenting and connecting vital energy storage projects to the grid.” #energytransition #renewable
