We’re working with Shackan Indian Band, the Scw'exmx Tribal Council and other partners to restore salmon habitat in rivers near Merritt, British Columbia. This project involves channel restoration work to keep the Nicola River from washing out the mouth of Skuhun Creek. Our efforts will help migrating Chinook, coho and steelhead access that important watershed. We’re proud to support the rebuilding of vital ecosystems for Pacific salmon through the Pacific Salmon Strategy Initiative. To date, the Acres for America program has helped to conserve more than 2 million acres across all 50 states, Puerto Rico and D.C.
