https://lnkd.in/dyMyyZAF Your 10 steps to Marine sustainability. 1. Educate yourself: Stay informed about the issues facing our oceans, such as overfishing, plastic pollution, and coral reef degradation. Understand the impacts these issues have on marine ecosystems and biodiversity. 2. Reduce plastic consumption: Make an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastics you use in your daily life. Opt for reusable alternatives, such as reusable water bottles, shopping bags, and food containers. Avoid products with unnecessary plastic packaging. 3. Support sustainable seafood: Choose to consume seafood that is caught or farmed using sustainable practices. Look for labels such as the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification or the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification when purchasing seafood. 4. Minimize chemical pollutants: Be mindful of the chemicals you use at home, as they can find their way into the oceans through wastewater systems. Reduce the use of toxic cleaning products and opt for environmentally-friendly alternatives. 5. Participate in beach cleanups: Join local beach cleanup initiatives to help remove litter and debris from shorelines. This helps prevent the waste from entering the ocean, where it can harm marine life. 6. Support conservation organizations: Donate or volunteer your time for NGOs and nonprofits dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems. Organizations such as Oceana, Conservation International, and The Ocean Foundation work towards marine sustainability and could use your support. 7. Advocate for change: Use your voice to raise awareness about marine sustainability issues. Write to your local representatives or join advocacy groups that fight for policy changes related to marine conservation. Support initiatives and campaigns that aim to protect and restore our oceans. 8. Practice responsible boating and diving: If you enjoy boating or diving activities, follow responsible practices. Respect marine life and their habitats, be cautious not to damage coral reefs, and never discard trash or fishing-related items overboard. 9. Promote sustainable tourism: When traveling to coastal areas, choose tour operators and accommodations that follow sustainable tourism practices. Support businesses that prioritize environmental conservation and minimize their impact on marine ecosystems. 10. Encourage others to take action: Share your knowledge and passion for marine sustainability with friends, family, and colleagues. Encourage them to adopt sustainable practices and spread the word to further amplify your impact. Arivo.online

Vila Carnaúba: Transforming Ceará Beach into the 'Summer Aspen' Praia do Preá in Ceará is set to receive R$ 30 billion in investments over the next decade, aiming to become a major tourist hub. Grupo Carnaúba, co-founded by Julio Capua Julio Capua is leading the charge with the launch of Vila Carnaúba, a luxury condominium spanning 516,000 square meters. The first phase has sold 80% of its 160 lots, with homes priced up to R$ 6.5 million. Designed by BTB Engenharia, the development includes nine artificial lakes and focuses on sustainability by allowing only electric vehicles. It features a nursery with over 23,000 seedlings of native species. Total investment is projected to exceed R$ 4 billion by 2034, creating around 2,000 jobs. Capua envisions Preá as a global kitesurfing hotspot, akin to Aspen for winter sports. Vila Carnaúba will also host an Anantara hotel, opening in 2026, with 70 rooms and 25 branded residences. Additional negotiations are ongoing with other major hotel chains. A beach club for kitesurfing enthusiasts, Carnaúba Wind House, is also planned with a R$ 250 million investment.

⛵️🚤 Collaboration is Key for a Sustainable Future in the Boating Industry! 🔄 Wednesday I had the honor of participating in an interesting panel discussion at boot Düsseldorf, on the topic "Towards a Circular Boating Industry - What Are the Latest Innovations?" It was truly a pleasure to share insights and exchange ideas with the other panelists discussing not only the challenges but also the opportunities. Many thanks to European Boating Industry for inviting me at the #BlueInnovationDock. 👉 One thing is certain: Collaboration with all parties involved is necessary to make progress in achieving a circular economy in recreational shipping. 🌊 Riding the wave of this momentum, I am looking forward to the “EU dialogue on end-of-life recreational craft” event on March 18 in Brussels. 🗓 Organized by FOD Mobiliteit en Vervoer, European Commission and European Boating Industry, this event will provide a platform for an open discussion, knowledge exchange and networking.
