VP of Business Development | Sales Operations Leader | Speaker | Senior Living Resident Advocate | Just Say Yes Believer | Happy Selling 😁
This post was inspired by our newest ED I. Greenville, SC who is a first time MC operator and is quickly adjusting to elopement risks. 😅 Anyone who has ever worked in Memory Care can probably relate a little to this. 😂 But it got me thinking about how especially in #seniorliving simple everyday things can feel so scary to individuals outside of our industry. 🙃 With how difficult staffing can be for leaders and care staff I think it’s important to look into what we think is simple and how we can educate outside talent to be better prepared for these scary or confusing items that us seasoned vets know are daily occurrences. 🧐 So my challenge today is to send what you thought was the scariest thing when you started in #seniorliving and how you feel about it today. 🤔 Let’s work together to help educate and attract new talent to our buildings. 🥳 Also we are hiring an ED in Houston so if you’re interested apply here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/etuJqi3c

Estate Planning | Trademark and Copyright Law | Small Business Law | Contract Specialist | Anti-Counterfeiting enthusiast
This is a thought-provoking post, but as an entrepreneur, and someone who loves entrepreneurship in general, I have strong feelings about business development. You can read my comment to the original post below, but here is the bottom line: In a world where marketing is inescapable and AI is going to learn light years faster than I can, everything but a personal interaction with me becomes noise. As an example, consider an artist. When anyone without art training or experience can use AI to create "art", the value of art changes in a way that is its own ethical and cultural discussion. And yet, if I have a personal interaction with an artist, that relationship or rapport, no matter how brief or virtual, will likely become the reason I purchase art. Business development and marketing(media) should be everyone's jobs. Even the most recently hired employee can bring value to the business by their in-person interactions with clients and potential clients, and the way the employee uses social media. #lawyer #businessdevelopment #entrepreneurship
As an IP professional, do you avoid business development activities because they make you uncomfortable? Perhaps you dread small talk with strangers or shy away from public speaking. However, consider how often you’ve already stretched your comfort zone throughout your career. For instance, many patent professionals, like myself, have switched careers. I transitioned from design engineering to IP by chance, which involved not just a career shift but also a move across the country. Maybe you also moved from design, research, or academia to IP. Talk about stretching that comfort zone! Remember, pushing boundaries is a sign of growth. How have you stepped out of your comfort zone in your career? #CareerGrowth #IntellectualProperty #ProfessionalDevelopment #IPlawyer #IPattorney

I am #Hiring for a bunch of open territories at AMFM Healthcare. You may be wondering if you should apply or not. Here are some things I am looking for in the people I hire. 1) Authenticity. I want to see you for you, not what you think I want to see. 2) Passion, drive, and growth oriented. In order to thrive on my team you have to want more. You have to have the desire to grow personally, and professionally. This doesn't mean you have to have a "book of business" to be on my team, just the desire to build one. 3) Mission driven, and ethical. I want you to LOVE behavioral health and being the piece of someone's journey of wellness. 4) Solution oriented. People on my team focus on solutions versus problems. This allows us to get to the next step versus staying stuck. 5) Honesty & Transparency. Own your mistakes. Own your growth areas. And learn from them. If this sounds like a team culture you want to be apart of let's connect. I am hiring for: Boston MA, NYC, Long Island, West Virginia, Eastern Shore of Maryland, and Atlanta Georgia.

Is it time to work ON your business instead of IN it? In every growing business, there comes a point when leadership must evaluate how to maximize their efforts for continued success. Spending all one's time doing operational "fire-fighting" leaves little opportunity for strategic planning, process improvements, or innovations that drive future growth. With the right support handling day-to-day operations, you'll gain the time to cultivate your vision and lead your business to greater heights.
"You cannot be everything to everybody, no matter what the size of your business or how deep its pockets.” Read that again. Have you ever thought about hiring a VA, EA, or Certified OBM? It could change your world.
