Health care hiring surges in September, adding 45,000 jobs, fueled by ambulatory care boom Health care hiring rebounds in September with ambulatory services leading the charge adding 24,000 jobs. The Sector, a bellwether for the broader health care ecosystem has seen a surge in demand as patients increasingly opt for outpatient treatment. This sector remains the hottest attraction due to a migration of care evolution taking place. This is driven primarily by: - Operators aligning procedures like knee replacements and elective surgeries to be performed in a lower cost environment that is more convenient for consumers - The expansion of behavioral health care services continues apace, reflecting a growing recognition of mental health services and a reduction in stigma within the health care ecosystem The takeaway: Leaders should look to stay ahead of the migration of care evolution and continue to invest in convenient care options that can be performed in a lower cost environment while prioritizing patient-eccentric care and meeting consumers where they are.
