As we defined our net zero strategy, we decided that we needed to tackle Scope 3 to make an impact. Since then, we’ve piloted strategies like using mass timber instead steel in the internal structure of our Highway 50 DC3 project in Ontario and the mezzanine portion of our Northwest Logistics Center 1 in Portland. These strategies reduce our embodied carbon emissions and bring Prologis closer to our net zero goal. And, of course, we have moved forward with our solar, storage and fleet electrification. I touched base with James Darius Ball, Director of Buildings for GreenBiz Group, on our strategy for tackling Scope 3, including low-carbon building solutions, solar, storage and fleet electrification. Prologis' Scope 3 emissions generally break down into two categories: (1) Embodied carbon in the material we use to build (25%). (2) Customer energy use on our properties (75%).
