Did you catch our impact and action-focused LinkedIn Live session last week? We'll be sharing some of the valuable insights gleaned from Sharon Peake, CPsychol and Priscila Pereira Law PhD FCIPD over the next few weeks. In this clip, learn why change leaders must not 'take the foot off the pedal'. Here, Sharon Peake shares 3 important things to keep front of mind when you're communicating with your C-suite, if you're serious about accelerating gender equality and aligning with your organisation's toughest business challenges: 1. Meet people where they're at. What are their drivers, what matters most to them? 2. Contract with your whole ExCo team -both individually and as a group. Gain an understanding of the collective aspiration and where they sit on the continuum and then work with them to advance this. 3. Move quickly once you have momentum - help people see the next step they need to take to bring change to life. Tune in here for more insights and reach out to learn more. #GenderEquity #EDI #BreakingBarriers

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬? In our quest for Gender Equality, it is imperative that as Advocates, we learn to listen. To listen effectively, we also must ask pertinent questions to draw out the answers we seek. Last week, I served as one of the moderators for "Her Story NG" Breakout sessions. Some of the important responses gotten from the dialogue are: √ We need to listen to survivors and give them the support instead of promoting the shame culture. √ There are still a lot of myths about Gender Equality. This is why there is the need to incite more behaviourial and attitudinal changes in the minds of people. I always look for opportunities to listen for me to gain more insights into issues like this that I am passionate about. What strategies have you used to listen? #rethinkinggenderviolence #genderequality

Food for Thought 🤔 When we were all born equal, with no distinctions, no biases, and no prejudices... when did sexism come into existence? We all started from the same place, with the same potential, and the same dreams. So, why do we have such vastly different views today? Why do we still struggle with gender equality, wage gaps, and stereotyping? Let's take a step back and reflect on how we can bridge this gap. Let's work together to create a world where everyone has an equal chance to succeed, regardless of gender. Share your thoughts! How can we promote gender equality and break down these barriers? #GenderEquality #EqualityForAll #BreakTheBias #EmpowerEachOther

Here's a video that should have gone out yesterday. I might be a day late in posting it, but the validity of my message is still intact. In today's #MehtaVerse video, I talk about a few steps that we can take to bring in gender equality. Now I am not an expert, so these are my views based on my observations and experiences. Would be keen to know and learn more from all of you as well. So feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. #WomensDay

Have you ever sat in a meeting where a colleague has been interrupted, ignored, not heard or worse - publicly humiliated? Be an ally speak out in support of them. We often find it easier to speak in defence of someone else than for ourselves. "Let's remember the words of Malala Yousafzai: 'I raise up my voice - not so I can shout but so that those without a voice can be heard...we cannot succeed when half of us are held back.' As we strive for gender equality in the workplace and beyond, let's amplify each other's voices and advocate for those who may not have the opportunity to speak up. Together, we can create a more inclusive and empowering environment for all. What actions will you implement today to create a more inclusive environment for everyone? Blissclub is shaking things up with a dash of humor and standing for a movement towards equality and empowerment 'shared chores' the new universal norm! 💪 But how do they plan to spread this message, you ask? Through the powerful marketing concept of humor appeal! 🎭 Picture this: a witty campaign where men are portrayed as aliens (to household chores), that not only grabs attention but also sparks conversations about gender equality and shared responsibilities at home. With a sprinkle of humor, they're making the serious topic of 'shared chores' a fun and engaging discussion point. Why? Because equality shouldn't be a chore! It's time to ditch outdated stereotypes and embrace a more balanced approach to household responsibilities. This valentine, know about what women really want! #empowerment #equality #keepgoing #marketing #blissclub
