🗣 Have your say on how we work with charities, voluntary organizations, and town and parish councils to help them take ownership and management of council owned assets. We believe that these transfers represent a significant opportunity to strengthen local engagement and make sure assets are managed in a way that best serves the needs of our residents. We are looking to develop a new Disposal and Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Policy which will outline a framework for identifying and transferring surplus assets, such as land, property, and buildings. 🔗Read the proposals and have your say by following the link in the comments.

This accolade is no surprise to those familiar with the area, as Collier is home to popular fundraising events and a high concentration of wealthy residents and businesses. While other counties may have had a higher percentage of contributions as a percentage of income, Collier stands out for the sheer number of citizens making charitable donations. The study measured generosity by comparing charitable donations as a percentage of net income and the proportion of those contributions that came from taxpayers. In second place is Monroe County, which encompasses the Florida Keys and boasts close proximity to Collier County. Overall, it's clear that the Sunshine State is home to many generous individuals and communities. *Source of this data: SmartAsset. Rebuilding Together Dutchess County continues to accept donations for the work we do… We focus on critical home repairs and accessibility modifications for neighbors in Dutchess and Ulster Counties. Please join us in supporting our cause as a central part of your mission this year. Those neighbors we have assisted reported feeling a restored sense of pride in their homes again. Prior to our support 86% of those neighbors reported having had trouble entering and exiting their homes - this is no longer a concern. In addition, nearly 70% planned to pass on their property to a family member, friend, or an important cause they wanted to support. The average annual household income of those whom we serve is just $24,916. Often this limited income must cover the needs of multiple individuals, including necessities like food and healthcare, aside from the essential home repairs, and safety needs. Your support enables us to start the new year with strength, steadiness, and resilience. Small charities are often typified by their quiet, self-effacing style. As we characterised in The Value of Small in a Big Crisis, small charities “show up and stick around with their position of trust within communities”. Without The Harbour Project, Southmead Project, NYCA and tens of thousands like them, we would all be impoverished. They support questions and issues that we have failed to address as a society, through either effective prevention at a much earlier stage, or effective remedy when that goes wrong. Small charities support the issues our society has failed to address' is the latest blog by our chief executive Paul Streets. In it, he contemplates organisations that quietly fill the gaps created by limited statutory services that remind us of the vital power of community. Charities like the #TheHarbourProject #SouthmeadProject and #NYCA - Newport Yemeni Community Association play vital roles in supporting people. They are typified by their quiet, self-effacing style. Read more about these charities from this link ➡https://lnkd.in/egH2WrVg The fact that they have to is an indictment of society. The fact that they do is a vindication of society. The question of what society we want to live in should be front and centre of our political debate both this year and in the coming decades, as we enter an era of low growth with an ageing population and a declining tax base. Tough political choices will have to be made about whether we want a society with compassion, or a society with casualties. #LloydsBankFoundation

We also help people to sell their property quickly to a pool of investors.
