Inspired by Prabhuji's teaching that 'To serve humanity is to serve God,' our Food Distribution Program has been providing hope and nourishment since its establishment in 2014. Based in Greene County, we offer a variety of fresh, free food every week to those in need within our community and neighboring regions. 🌱 Rooted in Spiritual Unity: At the core of our mission lies the vision that the Divine resides within every individual, transcending all differences. Fueling Hope: Food Services Support for Our Community   Here at the Windsor Park LifeCare Trust, we partner with Windsor Park Baptist Church to co-ordinate and deliver our Food Support Services initiative, providing essential assistance to those facing food insecurity in our community. From freezer meals to fresh produce distributions, we're committed to ensuring that no one goes hungry. However, as the need for food assistance grows, so does our determination to expand our efforts and we could really use your help!   Here are a few ways that you or your organization can help:   Donate pantry items to our office during the week (or into the trolleys positioned in the auditorium on a Sunday). Volunteer to help cook and package meals for our Freezer Bank or offer fresh-cooked dishes. Volunteer to pack parcels or assist with the regular Wednesday KiwiHarvest delivery.   As the demand for our services increases weekly, your support could help us reach even more families in need. I care about what you care about, and I'm putting my money where your heart is! I'm donating 5% of every commission to each client's favorite charity. Showcasing Lindsay and Anna's Choice - Food Lifeline I helped Lindsay and Anna buy their first property in the US. They are from New Zealand, and real estate is done quite a bit differently there. They needed guidance and education to understand how properties are bought and sold here. I helped them find a place in the area they wanted within their budget. It was a rollercoaster ride to the finish, with a few bumps along the way there and after, but I helped them through it all. When I asked them which charity they would like me supp0rt, they chose Food Lifeline because it benefits the essential needs of the community they live in. Anna and Lindsay said, "The main charity we support is Food Lifeline. I think it was back in the early days of Covid we were looking at what we could do, and someone told us that they did good work. It's a direct way of helping people, especially when sometimes people just need help to get through a short term crunch. That means they can keep homes, cars and jobs, and they've got a good chance of getting past the rough patch. We've remained monthly contributors since." Food Lifeline believes that food is an integral part of life. No one deserves to be hungry. By partnering with food industry sources, they are able to distribute fresh food to a network of 350 food banks, shelters and meal programs locally here in Washington. At the same time they are working to end hunger by addressing its root causes including poverty, racial inequity and social justice by supporting advocacy at the government level. They actively support policies and investments to help reduce food waste in Washington by 50% by 2030. In addition, thousands of v0lunteers help to ensure food gets to the people in need in various forms, whether it be a food bundle or a cooked meal.
