Why Millennials give religious status to their jobs!! The girl and her honest expression of happiness!! This is exactly how I felt when I joined the corporate life, I never expressed it like her, but deep down I think I was feeling the same. Coming from a lower middle class background, flights and 5 star hotel stays were clearly out of question. When I joined corporate I still remember the following - ✈ 1st Flight - During summer internship with Unilever, April 2010 (Was a Kingfisher flight from Mumbai to Delhi) - 🏨 1st 5 Star Stay - During Consulting Offsite event with KPMG India Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach - 👑 1st Business class travel - Free upgrade by Jet because of my Platinum Membership (which I got because of 100s of flying hours per year) - 🌍 1st Trip Out of India - Visit to Chicago, USA for training when I was with Accenture I think most millennials have a feeling of gratitude towards their careers because they have experienced migration in their economic status (from middle / lower middle class to upwards) because of their corporate careers, and deep down I think we fear falling back in. https://lnkd.in/dTseqsCm

Bravo!!! Not many would openly talk about the journey and how it happened because they want to show that selfie at the point of arrival was how life was all along. I admire your groundedness and humility. So glad life made our paths cross.
No lie. I'd received the usual (but a lot relative to me) in my first outing, when I hadn't even started putting in any value that I had to tell them to dial down benefits for me until I spend some time in the system.
True

11moAbsolutely true. I strongly identify with the sentiments expressed in the post. Life imparts numerous subtle lessons that blossom into significant milestones when we pause to appreciate them. It's a constant reminder to count our blessings and acknowledge the profound wisdom woven into the fabric of our daily experiences.
