Blancpain is delighted to present the new Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune, now fitted with an elaborately designed and patented black ceramic bracelet and a case made from the same material. With an assertive, sporty yet supremely elegant style, this model features a dial in vibrant shades of sunray-brushed blue. Available with a choice of bracelets or straps ranging from ceramic to NATO and sailcloth, the new Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet Phases de Lune brings power, colour and dynamism to the Bathyscaphe line. The year 1953 saw the birth of the Fifty Fathoms, the first true diver’s watch, used as a real tool by professional divers at the time. Its daily-use version, the Bathyscaphe, came into the world in 1956. Designed for everyday wear while offering the opportunity to explore the seabed, this Bathyscaphe line had a different format with a reduced diameter. Now, it is reaffirming the essence of its creation with a dynamic model that combines captivating colour with ceramic. In stark contrast to the black ceramic, the dial of the new complete calendar and moon-phase model is adorned with an elegant shade of blue. Its subtle gradient combined with a sunray finish really brings the dial to life, imbuing it with a personality that changes with the light. Exuding sophistication, it adds depth while providing great luminosity that catches the eye. Just like its wearer, this watch has a personality of its own, intensified by the striking contrast between the dial and the black ceramic case and bracelet, which also reflect the light with their own extraordinary finishes. The Manufacture’s emblematic moon-phase complication finds its place on this new timepiece, which is powered by the calibre 6654.P. Reintroduced by Blancpain in 1983 in the wake of the quartz crisis, this complication enabled the brand to demonstrate that a mechanical timepiece was the product of extraordinary expertise and that quartz could never replace a complex mechanical watchmaking creation. It thus came to symbolise the revival of mechanical watchmaking. Blancpain’s immediately recognisable moon phase is found on the calibre 6654.P, which not only has a 72-hour power reserve (thanks to its two barrels), but also a secure movement, enabling the wearer to adjust the calendar indications at any time of day without damaging it. Adorned with traditional Fine Watchmaking decorations, such as bevelling, circular graining and snailing, this calibre is visible through a sapphire crystal case back and incorporates a silicon balance-spring, making it impervious to magnetism. Here is a 1,100 character post on bezel là gì in a professional tone: The bezel is an important component of any wristwatch that plays a key role in the watch's design and functionality. In Vietnamese, the bezel is referred to as "bezel." The bezel surrounds the watch face and sits above the crystal or dial window. On divers' watches especially, the bezel serves a utilitarian purpose by allowing the user to accurately time an event or activity using the graduated markings. Beyond timing, the bezel greatly influences the overall aesthetic of a watch. Bezels come in a wide variety of materials like stainless steel, precious metals, ceramics, and more. They can be smooth, faceted, fluted, or engraved with numerals, markers, or text. The bezel material and design should complement the dial, case, bracelet, and other watch elements. A well-executed bezel that is properly integrated with the rest of the watch can elevate the overall impre - bx7yvfr5of - https://lnkd.in/g5STWhg7

Take a look at History of Pocket Watch A pocket watch told society so much about a gentleman, with regard to his social standing and his place in society. Pocket watches were passed down as a family heirloom and something a man could treasure, whether it were made of gold or platinum. Special pockets were made in jackets or vests to accommodate the timepiece. Wealthy men would demonstrate their wealth by the type of pocket watch they owned, generally newly rich could ‘show off’ by the type of pocket watch they had. However social divides did not mean that the poor couldn’t own a pocket watch, in fact they too would have inherited a watch from their father, but the type of metal it was made from could range from brass to silver, but the sentimental value would be priceless. watchmuseum.org https://lnkd.in/eJNQCy9H In the 16th century, clocks were made using springs instead of weight. Portable clocks or pocket watches were the first timepieces that the public could own, but generally it was the rich and was looked upon as a status symbol. Often, portable watches were placed on the wall of the house, but they were not really portable, this idea came some years later. Pocket watches were first produced in the 16th century. This was at the same time as the invention of the spring driven clock. In the beginning, pocket watches were awkward and boxy, and were generally worn as necklaces. Approximately one hundred years later they were carried in the pocket. Development of the pocket watch meant that mechanisms were introduced and some watches even had alarms. The image of the pocket watch began to change in the 17th century. More rounded, slimmer cases were made incorporating designs and generally making the pocket watch a piece of craftsmanship. When does wear and tear become "patina" - and does it matter? In the world of watches, we have a fancy name for what normal people would call "wear and tear", we call it "patina". But only after a certain point. Before that point it simply is just "wear", and it's to be scoffed at, judging by how many people treat luxury watches that have been worn the way they were meant to be worn. But not for a long enough time. I was recently selling a dive watch from my personal collection, it's a fine piece, and would certainly qualify as a luxury timepiece by any measure. I'm not bragging, I'm just painting a scene. The watch in question had been in my possession since it was new in 2020, and had seen frequent use over the course of three years. The bracelet was a little bit scratched with hairline scratches, so was the polished sides of the case. Overall it was in good condition, by no means worn down or mistreated. Adding to the fact that it's a dive watch - a style of watches meant to be used as tools, built tough-as-nails and traditionally used by frogmen and military personnel before the entry of a certain shock resistant resin watch. I was surprised how many people complained about the hairlines and some even wanted to subtract money from the deal to have it polished... I was flabbergasted! To me, a watch is a tool, especially a tool-watch, after all, it is in the name! Watches are meant to tell stories and be worn and enjoyed, they are after all meant to give their wearer the time of day, and that is not possible to do locked away inside of a bank vault. What do you think, are watches supposed to be pristine and scratch free, or is there something alluring with a wrist watch where the bezel has been gnawed on by a shark and the case has dings and marks from when it had to serve as a makeshift hammer in the Siberian wilderness? While steel sports models have long been the preferred choice, the trend has now shifted towards customers wanting the elegance and luxury of full gold timepieces. 2) Increasing demand for strapped watches: Watches with straps, particularly those made of fabric, are experiencing a resurgence in popularity. Collectors are embracing a wide range of styles and preferences, seeking variety in their timepiece collections. 3) Emphasis on smaller case sizes and material combinations: There is a growing demand for two-tone stainless steel and gold watches, accompanied by a return to smaller case sizes. Women's watches in miniature sizes, such as the Rolex Datejust 28 or 31 and Cartier Panthere Mini, are setting new sales records. 4) Revival of unique case shapes: Custom-shaped cases like the Patek Philippe Ellipse and tonneau shapes, as well as distinctive models like the Cartier Crash, are witnessing a renewed interest among collectors. 5) Appreciation for vibrant dial colors: Both men and women are showing a heightened appreciation for vibrant dial colors, moving away from traditional options like black, blue, silver, and white. 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞: 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ⌚ Owning a watch isn't just about telling time; it's about preserving a piece of art that speaks to your personal style and precision. Whether you cherish a luxury timepiece or a daily wearer, keeping your watch in pristine condition requires a bit of love and attention. Here’s how you can extend the life of your watch and enjoy its timeless elegance for years to come: 🧼 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐈𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞: 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 To maintain the allure of your watch, gently clean it with a soft, lint-free cloth. This helps remove dust, fingerprints, and smudges that can dull its shine. For metal bracelets and cases, a mild soap and water solution works wonders, but ensure you dry them thoroughly to prevent any moisture build-up. 💧 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡'𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬 Unless your watch is specifically designed to handle water exposure, keep it away from water. Always check the water resistance rating before exposing your watch to moisture. 🔋 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 Keep your watch running smoothly by replacing the battery as recommended by the manufacturer. For automatic or mechanical watches, regular winding and occasional servicing are crucial. 🌞 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the colors on your watch dial and strap to fade. It can also accelerate the aging process of materials, especially leather straps. Store your watch in a cool, dark place when not in use, and consider using a protective case to keep it safe from dust and damage. ✨ 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 Maintain the lustrous shine of your watch by polishing it with a designated polishing cloth. This not only enhances its appearance but also provides a protective layer against small scratches and environmental wear. 🛠️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭’𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝: 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 Even with regular care, a watch's intricate mechanisms need professional maintenance. Trust only a certified watchmaker for repairs and servicing. 📅 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬 Make it a habit to schedule regular check-ups for your watch, especially if it's a vintage or high-value piece. This can help identify and resolve potential issues early, preventing costly repairs or irreversible damage. 🔑 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 A well-cared-for watch is more than a timekeeping device; it's a legacy. By investing a little time in regular maintenance and following these tips, you'll ensure your watch continues to reflect your style and story for years to come.
