“𝑳𝑶𝑵𝑮 𝑻𝑶 𝑺𝑯𝑶𝑹𝑻” Ie backswing is longer than follow through. Very popular putting style in today’s golf at the top level. Should everyone do it? Probably not. Is it the only way to putt well? No. Is it a “decel”? Not necessarily. Is it easier to control putter speed compared to rapidly accelerating, ie what most ams do? I’d say yes. Like most things; if you putt well keep doing what you’re doing. If not something likely has to change. This could be an avenue to explore. Keep the backswing/transition nice and swift/flowing. Then “coast” through the ball 👍

Remember the first time you hit a golf ball? For many golfers, that first swing at a driving range was the beginning of a lifelong passion. To provide that same initial thrill for new golfers — and turn one-time visits into newfound love for the game — make sure your range provides: Comfort: High-quality covers protect your customers from unpredictable weather, offering a welcoming space for learners to practice. Engagement: Incorporating technology like launch monitors enhances the experience, making it both fun and informative for beginners wanting to improve. A Warm Welcome: A range should never feel intimidating. Make sure it's a fun atmosphere where beginners feel encouraged and supported to build their confidence and skill before trying the course. Simple enhancements to your facilities can lead to both a larger golfing community and increased visits to your range.

Did you hear about the Bowral Classic 2024 cancellation due to a “mind-boggling” human error? As a local, I saw firsthand the confusion, disappointment, and impact this caused. It’s a stark reminder that even the best-laid plans are vulnerable to human error—leading to serious financial, reputational, and safety consequences. Was this scenario in the risk assessment? And if so, would they have considered such a monumental but basic mistake? This underscores why administrative controls sit at the bottom of the hierarchy of controls. We need stronger safeguards and system designs to minimize human error, whether in event planning or managing complex projects.
