This recent Ferrero North America survey reveals adults' strong enthusiasm for the #holiday, with 77% feeling nostalgic about trick-or-treating and 40% ranking Halloween as their favorite day. Many survey respondents plan to decorate, carve pumpkins, dress up (47%), and buy candy (69%) even without expecting trick-or-treaters. 67% of adults with children plan to buy extra #candy “just in case” they run out and keep a secret stash for themselves after the holiday. Did you know the frappé first appeared in Greece in 1957 when an #innovative Nestlé employee mixed instant coffee, ice, and cold water in a shaker, creating a refreshing new take on a classic iced coffee (talk about "New-stalgia")? In the 1990s, a small coffee chain in Boston developed a blended coffee drink that combined elements of a frappé with milkshakes, adding ice, milk, and flavorings. They dubbed it "Frapp-uccino," a combination of "frappé" and "cappuccino." When Starbucks bought the coffee chain in 1994, they acquired the Frappuccino recipe and trademark. The frappé has become a warmer weather staple, enjoyed for its perfect balance of cool refreshment and energizing caffeine kick. Around the world, countries have come up with their own versions of the frappé — like India’s creamy cold coffee or Vietnam’s sweet cà phê đá.
