Not all customer testimonials build trust & increase conversions So what makes a testimonial powerful? 1 - Your audience should see themselves in the quoted customer ex: if you sell to local restaurants, a quote from a McDonalds manager won’t help, although the company is well-known 2 - They point directly to one of the core attributes of your product/service ex: if you’re positioning your company on the speed of delivery, testimonials that highlight said speed will be the most useful 3 - They don't resemble a wall of text As for most pieces of online copy, the likelihood of your audience actually reading it decreases with each word.
