Best metric out there - we rely on you guys big time!

This reminds me of mapping seagrass beds near Ft DeSoto as an undergraduate while working in a lab at USF. But our maps were much smaller scale! I'm curious, has there ever been an attempt to use UAVs in the more shallow waters for areas where there might be a need for more higher resolution, higher detailed maps?

Looking at the technology available today makes say WOW! And we thought we were cutting edge in the 90's when I was part of the SWIM team and mapping the sea grasses in Tampa Bay.
