1) The Hudson tunnel project is wild
2) It’s nice to hear that even a $4 billion project also has delays,issues and requires problem solving and I’m not alone 😂
3) Some pricing will keep going up, due to upcoming tarrifs by the new administration
4) Warehousing will hopefully get another push as company’s stock up on materials as costs rise
5) The average age in construction is 40+ and the industry needs more young people to join the labor force to help lower labor costs
6) Drones are a sore topic in NJ 🤔

Progress Update: £1bn A428 Dual Carriageway Construction
After a year of construction, the £1 billion A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement scheme is making significant headway under principal contractor Skanska. This 16km dual carriageway project is currently the largest road construction underway in the UK.
Over the past year, the project team has moved 4 million tonnes of earth, installed 371 piles and 1,855 rigid inclusions to improve ground stability, and fitted 33 bridge beams across six structures. 18,000 cubic meters of concrete have been poured for bridges, culverts, and other structures. Additionally, over 17.5km of utilities have been diverted, and 4km of new drainage systems installed.
Once complete, the A428 upgrade is expected to reduce average travel times between #MiltonKeynes, #Bedford, and #Cambridge by up to 10 minutes per journey, potentially saving drivers 1.5 hours per work week. The new dual carriageway and modernized roundabouts will establish a crucial link, replacing the last single carriageway section between the M1 and east coast ports.
Skanska was awarded a £507 million contract in 2021 to design and build the new road, with Mott MacDonald as engineering partner and AECOM leading the preliminary design and development consent process. After a legal challenge was quashed, the project remains on track to open to traffic in 2027.
