Toggleblok valve, the only true solar smart valve for stopping pollution run off in under 10 seconds. Designing Fire water and spill containment solutions to prevent water pollution. Fit Toggleblok not penstock
All these incidents are 100% avoidable. What frustrates me the most is we keep telling companies to fit a penstock to stop drainage flow. Simply put that’s like saying to someone who’s car hasn’t got seat belts, “yes fit some rope…. That will work”. Stop giving wrong advice. Penstocks are flow control, Toggleblok is flow isolation. #environmentagency #severntrent #waterpollution #anglingtimes

💡☠️Targeting or celebrating "Zero injury/harm" could be harmful ☠️ 💡 In 2010, the Deepwater Horizon disaster killed 11 and injured 17 while they had just finished celebrating zero injuries for the previous years. Organizations may celebrate that "zero injury" for the last month(s), last year or so; and we can understand why people celebrate and announce such 'achievement." However, we need to keep in mind that "zero injury record" does not mean the site is safe or getting safer. This is what the history of accidents and experts have said.

Leadership is a Lifestyle II Police Sergeant II Aspiring Project Manager II Grant Writer II Brand Ambassador
On This Episode of Hoarders Over the years as a police officer I have been in many MANY properties that were, to be as gentle as possible, filthy. Trash piled to the ceiling, tiny pathways winding like a maze, and an odor emanating so thick and dank you can taste it in tomorrow's breakfast. These properties are havens for rodents and criminals alike. Inevitably, emergency crews are called upon to wade into the ocean of garbage to extract the resident, more often than not deceased. Here, we have a property controlled by an unknown owner with debris strewn on every square inch of the yard. I can imagine the interior will not challenge Martha Stewart's throne, yet in my experience don't be shocked to see plastic coverings on the furniture...after it's dug up. To address the issue: 1. Have the situation documented by city officials such as the sanitation department and code enforcement. 2. Notify your elected officials through Email and request a response so communication can be documented to hold elected officials accountable. 3. Develop a neighborhood watch and stick together. The larger the group the better the elected officials will respond. #police #policeofficer #policetraining #policeofficers #policedepartment #policejobs #policechief #policecommemorationday #lawenforcement #emergencymanagement #emergencypreparedness #emergencyresponse #emergencyservices #emergency #emergencyplanning #emt #emts #firesafety #firefighter #firesafety #firefighters #firefightertraining #publicsafety https://lnkd.in/eKm9C3cx

The devastating fires in Alberta remind me that Ontario is also at risk. Climate change and vast, unmanaged plantations create huge fire hazards. Why is funding for forest management often ignored in favour of planting trees? Planting trees is popular and visible, showing quick results. It’s easier to gain public support and funding for tree planting. In contrast, forest management is a long-term effort, with benefits that aren’t immediately seen. Limited budgets and a lack of awareness about the importance of forest management also play a role. To reduce fire risks, we need to invest in comprehensive forest management Credit Valley Conservation is currently prioritizing the management of plantations on our properties. Funding shortfalls limit us in outreach efforts of the importance of this work on private lands
