Swire Renewable Energy confirms that the company has achieved two consecutive years without a Lost Time Incident. This is a significant milestone and highlights SRE’s commitment to proactive health and safety, and the well-being of our teams across all operations sites, regions and throughout our office network. Despite increasing operational complexity and working hours, our focus on safety has remained our first priority. In 2024, Positive Safety Observations have increased by 1156% over 2023, and management Safety Walks have increased by 88%. This improvement demonstrates the proactive and strong safety culture within the business, including the acquired companies we have successfully integrated into our network over the last 12 months. Ryan Smith, CEO of Swire Renewable Energy, said, "We’ve taken significant steps to overhaul our HSE culture in the past two years. Through a focussed and disciplined commitment to safety reporting and situational awareness, we’ve managed to fundamentally change and transform our safety culture. The wind turbine maintenance supply chain carries inherent operational risks, and we’ve stepped up our efforts to manage that risk effectively. We are proud of reaching two years without a Lost Time Incident. We wish to thank all our highly skilled technicians and office staff for being proactive in making this shift in organisational behaviour. Everyone at SRE has the right to STOP WORK if they believe conditions are unsafe.”
