We are hiring... again... it's becoming a habit: we're growing and need to continue adding to the team. For all our hires, we look for three things over and above the obvious: 1. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 - our candidates have to have demonstrable interest in Finance and M&A. You have to be deeply interested to enjoy this area of work. Often it is in your degree, but sometimes it is also in work placements or your extra-curricular activities 2. 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 - our team are given loads of autonomy and responsibility. They are given some pretty cool tools and tech to work with, but they need to be self-driven. They need to take the initiative 3. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 - there are some things that are learned. Others that are instinctive. Our office is a hive of commercial activity: negotiation, deal-making, risk-weighing and closing. Much of it is sales, but the proper, professional and rewarding type - we do what we say we do, and more Even for a small team, it's critical that new hires find an environment that they thrive in - so, if you are interested, or know someone who might be, then get in touch: https://lnkd.in/eFhpfUtB

I wanted to share this amazing opportunity with you and if you want to learn more just send me your name and number for my team leader to get you started. If you answer yes to these 3 questions then this might be a great fit. Are you tired of living paycheck to paycheck? Are you tired of working for someone 9 to 5? Do you want to be financial secure for the present and future? If you answer yes, then Global Financial Impact is where you need to be. This is a little over view “What is the company name?”The company is Global Financial Impact, and we work with 20+ multi-billion dollar financial institutions. We do business not only here in the United States but also in 21 other countries!“What are the positions?”Because I'm still new, I don’t want to mislead you about anything because it does vary. So, if it's okay, I would ask them those questions when you speak with them. They just asked me if I knew anyone who has integrity and is motivated, and I thought of you. So I would discuss it with them. They are really good people, so I know they will answer any questions you have! “Is it hourly?”(Refer to answer above)It varies, so please ask them. I may have already sent you a text invite so if got something from me my team leader will call with more information, if I did not send you one and you want more information message me with you name, number and time zone.

Understanding Job Title Deflation Job title deflation is when titles sound fancier than the actual job. It's common and can be misleading. What it is: This is when roles like "Customer Success Manager" really mean customer service rep, or a "Marketing Director" is just a coordinator. Titles look good but don't match the work. Examples: 1. Customer Service Reps called Customer Success Managers. 2. Marketing Coordinators named Marketing Directors. 3. Junior Developers labeled Lead Engineers. Why it matters: - For Employees: It can set unrealistic expectations, lead to burnout, and make career moves harder. - For Companies: Causes skill-role misalignment, makes recruiting tough, and hurts credibility. The Fix: Use titles that truly reflect the role. This helps with transparency, trust, and ensures the right people are in the right jobs. Plus, it keeps employees happier and more engaged. Let's keep it real with job titles! Bernie

Yesterday I posted a job opening we have at Elevate Financial Group. We got 100+ applicants (crazy!!). But I want to share what I wish I knew when I was on the job hunt ⬇️ 1. Shoot your shot. You don't need to tick every box. 2. Follow the "how to apply" section. It's an easy way to stand out! 3. Eliminate self-doubt and trust yourself. The worst case scenario is you're in the same position as you are now. Best case? New career. 4. You don't need to do anything wild to stand-out. Standing out often just requires you to follow the steps appropriately and follow-up. 5. Once you apply, email/DM the hiring manager. Get on their radar. But don't have an ask. It's daunting applying for new jobs. But now being on the other side for the previous few years, I wish I knew these things. I would have applied for many, many more positions. And a lot of them would have 'stretched' me.

Hiring the right people shouldn't be hard, ask me today to help you simplify it! Spyglass Partners is your dedicated partner in hiring IT, Finance & Accounting, Service Supply Chain, and Executive level talent.
Had a conversation today with a prospect, when asked "what do you specialize in?" my answer surprised him... "you" Skills can change, whether it's technical, finance, supply chain, sales, retail, you name it, I've hired it. What has helped me the most in my career is knowing everything I can about a customer or prospect. Knowing who they are, what they like, what works, what doesn't... all the ins and outs of their business and what makes a good employee. If you know this than any skill they have falls into place easily, because the foundation of my knowledge is strong. If I start with the skill, I'm already at a disadvantage. Know your customers, know your candidates, know what makes each work and you'll know how to better service them!

I had 3 hiring candidates for our Account Manager position. When the leading candidate told me her salary demand, I balked: “The other 2 candidates will cost me a lot less.” She responded matter-of-factly, “Oh, the other 2 candidates will cost you WAY more. My cost is limited to my salary. Their cost is unlimited in how much they will cost your company’s revenue and future.” I hired her on the spot. If you don’t have enough money to buy quality, how will you have enough money to re-buy when it doesn’t work? P.S. Business Master Class starts on October 21. I’ll teach 500 business strategies (that I’ve learned from the best of the best) in just 3 days. Why not join us?

𝙈𝙮 𝙟𝙤𝙗 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩. It activated and stretched my brain in all the best ways, but it didn't stretch me to the breaking point. New-to-me technology begged to be learned, but I could learn it in stages. Customers kept me dancing on my toes, but they were polite and helpful. I mentored some coworkers, but some coworkers mentored me. My job paid me well, but it wasn't outlandish. Programming assignments induced some creative thinking and writing assignments forced a balance of procedure and story. 𝙇𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙄 𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙙, 𝙢𝙮 𝙟𝙤𝙗 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩. But, I didn't pay much attention to sales, focusing instead on coworkers, customers, and new technologies. I should have paid attention. In retrospect the signs glowed with the illumination of foreshadowing. My job was great, but I was laid off, along with much of the company. 𝙉𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚, 𝙄'𝙡𝙡 𝙥𝙖𝙮 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.
