Europe is an economic region with enormous economic and political power. For me, there is no alternative but to strengthen Europe. Left to its own devices, Germany, and every other European country, would hardly stand a chance in a global competition, becoming more diverse and challenging. Together, we will be able to master the challenges ahead. For Lufthansa Technik, with its significant presence in Europe, this backbone gives us the strength to compete globally. For our economic prosperity being part of the EU is without alternative. But everything is based on our democratic values – and only if we protect and strengthen these values, we will have a strong, powerful Europe. A powerhouse that stands clear against the autocratic systems worldwide guaranteeing freedom, economic prosperity and peace. That is why: go and use your right to vote June 6 to 9, 2024! #LufthansaTechnik #SayYesToEurope #UseYourVote

Aerotech International Ltd. and Celairion announce positive collaboration. When your asset is worth millions and time is of the essence, true collaboration of all key parties is vital to a successful aircraft delivery. With efficiency and collaboration in mind, Aerotech Directors Neil Ferns and Lisa Crellin, recently travelled to Austria to meet with the Celairion CAMO team to fine-tune and hone a highly collaborative approach to future aviation transitions. This visit was the result of many years of working projects side-by-side and understanding each other's businesses. During the visit we took time to identify areas for improvement in our combined processes and procedures. Our time at Celairion’s Austrian office was spent not just modernising procedures, but also learning about each other's approaches. Recognising the critical importance of fluidity between the on-site team and CAMO. We are proud to announce that following our visit we have created a collaborative environment to ensure constant team connection and cooperation during our projects. By promoting open communication and encouraging knowledge sharing, we aim to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in our operations. Working together, we can leverage the expertise and resources of both teams, resulting in more comprehensive and effective solutions for our clients. Today marks National Aviation Day, a moment to reflect on the remarkable journey of aviation—a journey that has not only shaped our skies but has also transformed the world we live in. From the Wright brothers’ first flight in 1903 to the advent of supersonic travel, aviation has always been about pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and connecting people across continents. Over the past century, we’ve seen our industry evolve from a daring experiment into a global powerhouse, driving innovation, economic growth, and cultural exchange. Through my work with Chapman Freeborn OBC , part of the Avia Solutions Group, I’ve witnessed how our collective efforts continue to propel this industry forward, setting new standards in global connectivity and innovation. Being part of a group that’s redefining aviation on a global scale is truly inspiring. On this special day, let’s not only honor the pioneers who paved the way but also celebrate the incredible minds that continue to lead us into the future. With sustainability, digital transformation, and global connectivity at the forefront, the future of aviation is bright—and it’s an exciting time to be part of this journey. Here’s to the next century of flight! ✈️ #CareerWings #LivingAviation #WomaninAviation #WIA #ChapmanFreebornOBC #ASG #NationalAviationDay #AviationHistory #AviationInnovation #AviationMarketing #Leadership #GlobalConnectivity #Sustainability

I was delighted to attend last week's Farnborough International Airshow to engage with the representatives of leading aerospace companies and to promote the Polish aerospace and aviation sector. Thousands of exhibitors and guests descended on the halls and surrounding grounds of the Farnborough airport (these days servicing business aviation) for five days of exchanges, networking and measuring the pulse of this critically important industry in these uncertain, turbulent times. In particular, I had the honour to inaugurate an event showcasing the Polish Aviation Valley - Aviation Valley | Dolina Lotnicza - a cluster of aviation companies both small and large, now in the third decade of development. In my opening remarks I said: "→ The Polish aviation industry spans well over 80 years of scientific and engineering work, centred in Poland’s south-east regions. Cities like Świdnik or Mielec are the cradles of Polish aviation and innovation. Last year, the Polish Aviation Valley, with Rzeszów as its centre, celebrated 20 years since its inception. → The region has since become a crucible of various undertakings involving international business partners. It was not a lucky coincidence, but rather a matter of a conscious choice. The Aviation Valley owes its remarkable success to the combination of factors: highly skilled engineering staff, a deep pool of talent attracted by leading academic and scientific institutions, as well as a pro-business mindset of local authorities. → As a result, today the Aviation Valley is an indispensable part of not just local, but national economy. It contributes to Poland’s image as a country of innovation and engineering prowess, on par with similar clusters around the globe." These words of praise are well deserved! I am grateful to the hosts Aviation Valley | Dolina Lotnicza and Farnborough Aerospace Consortium, as well as Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) London Office for the opportunity to represent Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London at this important event. Special thanks go out to Rafal Owczarek and Karol Cienkus, Ph.D. I will finish on a more personal note: it was great fun to once again, albeit for just one day, to become part of the global community of aviation and aerospace professionals. Indeed, aviation sector was one of my specialties when working for the U.S. Commercial Service some ten years ago (a big shout out to Brenda VanHorn, my boss at that time!). This experience really helped to keep up with the industry representatives as they presented their products and solutions!

The European airline, founded in 1970, has gained global success in the international market due to the creation of modern and reliable airplanes. Airbus is what we're talking about. However, was the quality of the aircraft the only thing that helped the company become what it is today? The main factor of success was not only Airbus's effective development strategy and innovative technologies but also its dedicated and highly qualified staff. They currently employ more than 130,000 people worldwide.
