Have you ever wondered how many cities there are in the world? It's a fascinating question with no easy answer. Estimates suggest there are over ten thousand, but that's just a ballpark figure. In reality, only about 1,100 of these cities have a population of over half a million people. Zug, on the other hand, is a tiny town. Despite its small size, Zug has a remarkable impact. It's a place with a big vision and a thriving energy. As the birthplace of Ethereum and the heart of the crypto valley, Zug continues to shape the future of finance. To celebrate Ethereum's 10th anniversary, Zug hosted an impressive event. Local organizations like CVVC, Bitcoin Suisse, MME, CV Labs, and Canton Zug were rightfully proud to have been part of this historic moment and to have contributed to the biggest transformation in global finance in over a decade. Ten years ago, the changes we're seeing today were unimaginable. Now, Zug is leading the way in financial innovation. Zug's approach is uniquely Swiss: it remains neutral toward technology, makes decisions based on principles, and pays meticulous attention to legal details. While many countries struggle to define the legal status of crypto assets, Switzerland has taken a proactive approach. Not only has it established a clear legal framework for cryptocurrencies, but it's also introducing laws for staking and restaking, which are essential for the future of decentralized finance. I discovered the Zug Blockchain community back in 2018. My biggest regret is that I didn't get involved earlier. I hope you all get a chance to be part of this amazing movement.
