At Deutsche Gesellschaft für Radioonkologie (DEGRO) e. V. meeting 2024 I learned that: 1.) LINACS consume energy and thus produce carbondioxide. Strong hypofraction is proportionally and absolutely much more energy efficient than normal fractionation. Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Ann-Katrin Exeli, MSc 2.) Research Labs produce waste and freezers especially consume energy. (Talk Jürgen Orasche) Despite rational balancing following Pareto‘s principle where to place efforts in order to interfere, it is important to know the crucial points of energy consumption. I personally would suggest to replace much of the inner city traffic with these famous and elegant devices - for example: Gazelle Racefiets - original built 1981, Reynolds 753 tubing, Campagnolo Super Record complete, Near mint condition, no obsolescence included, in front of Max-Joseph’s Bridge Munich, painted in dedicated Bavarian blue & white 😂

BROMEDIR was recently communicated at two of the worlds' largest expos happening in Europe. The “hy-fcell – International Expo and Conference 2024" in Stuttgart (hydrogen and fuel cell technology) once again successfully attracted more than 3,000 attendees from 35 countries and 189 exhibitors, with this year also introducing two new focused areas; the University Area arranged in collaboration with the German Hydrogen Association (DWV) where our BROMEDIR partner Technische Universität Wien (Vienna University of Technology) was one of the leading Universities that participated with Prof. DI Dr. Michael Harasek group communicating the work being performed within the project and another area focused on Start-ups where new innovative solutions were pitched to potential investors and industry leaders in the field.  The project developments were also communicated at last month’s renowned Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe 2024 with more than 15K attendees, 6 conference tracks, >300 speakers, >950 exhibitors, all of which covering the entire hydrogen value chain and focusing on developing solutions and innovations with the full range of esteemed names from Academia and from all sizes up to the biggest players in Industry demonstrating the very latest technology. This flagship event will take place at the GINN hotel Elbspeicher in Hamburg (Germany) on 24 and 25 June 2025.   #𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗔 will focus on materials and their role throughout the entire value chain – from production to storage and usage of hydrogen. Special emphasis will be placed on technical applications and operational experience to make progress visible and to address challenges in this critical area of the energy transition. 🤝 We were thrilled to host the VIIMA Seminar in Salo FINLAND recently, bringing together experts from various companies and universities. Our partners shared valuable insights on simulating operational loads to support fatigue design. ✔️ At IONCOR we are developing products for rough environments and heavy applications such as off-highway, bus and truck. In challenging environments, high dynamism and variance in equipment loading make it difficult to create reliable lifecycle predictions based on statistical approaches. Within VIIMA, IONCOR focuses on the fatigue resistance of the properties that affect the design of welded connections. EV battery pack main structures, e.g., cell modules are typically built using welded structures to improve the product reliability, product cost and time reduction to provide highest quality in the battery development.
