To increase customer satisfaction, the Postal Service launched a new package shipping service called USPS Ground Advantage in July 2023. Replacing three older package shipping services, Ground Advantage joined two other longstanding package services: Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express. Our auditors looked at all three package shipping services from July 2023 to March 2024 to determine their service performance and effectiveness. We found that while the introduction of Ground Advantage simplified the flow of packages through the postal network, service performance goals were not met for the three services during that period.
