🎟 🎫 Important announcement: I am not a 'ticket'. I just don't get why it is that customer service teams keep referring to 'opening a new ticket', 'closing this ticket', 'any update about this tickets' when speaking to customers. Being talked to in this way just makes it feel like you an the inconvenience that someone is waiting to 'close', and that they are more focused on the process and their to-do list, rather than your valued custom. I think it might just about be excusable to talk about tickets if you're having a conversation internally, ie with an IT supplier, but otherwise, just don't do it. Speak to humans like they are humans. This isn't a difficult principle to handle, is it? (If you like this post, I'll assume that you thought it was, [clears throat], "just the ticket"... sorry. I'll get my coat.) #jargon #comms #communications
