Taking a break from themes such as #AIACT, #GenerativeAI and #Am-I-AI-? let's focus just for a moment on spring, light, the power of stories to change and to communicate and the 'whyness' of your hard work. Today is #IMBOLC - the beginning of spring and the festival of light in the old Celtic tradition. It's a day of positivity, when new beginnings happen, when the fruits of our labours may start to be seen.......if we've done it right. It is also a day to celebrate for other, important reasons. Brigid's Day is now a national holiday in #Ireland, following years of campaigning by many groups including #herstory to bring about equality, representation and identity in terms of how we celebrate, what we remember and why. You can read all about the incredible campaign that took place in Ireland. Brigid, who is a Celtic Goddess and a religious saint crosses boundaries; for some it unites otherwise disparate groups. Whether it's in work or in life, knowing our "story", why we do what we do and what we are trying to achieve is essential to #communication, to bridge gaps and bring people together. Take a moment for yourself, you deserve it. Maybe though you could also think of your story, your company's story and what your customers and clients hear. Make the message work whether it's personal, your branding, your organisational imperative or for humanity. https://lnkd.in/ecyrX3ZQ

Juneteenth is a pivotal moment in American history that marks the end of slavery in the United States. On this day in 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the freedom of all enslaved people, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This day is not just a celebration of freedom but a vital opportunity to learn about our history. Understanding the significance of Juneteenth helps us grasp the complexities of cultural dynamics and the lasting impact of slavery on society today. By acknowledging and studying our true history, we can avoid repeating past mistakes and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves as a people, fostering a more inclusive and informed future. Let's celebrate freedom together as One Nation United! #JuneTeenth #OneNationUnited

Passivity and indifference to prevailing issues that challenge the legitimacy, significance, status, and function of the Church of God in the earth today achieve nothing at all. Deliberate engagement with a governmental mindset and authoritative internal disposition is vital. Using David's epic clash with the giant Goliath, Alexandar Chisango challenges and encourages sons of God to consciously and confidently face gigantic obstacles or threats to Divine purpose. This teaching was prophetic in nature and designed to activate you to overcome insurmountable problems. https://lnkd.in/dAKMbjvZ #governmental #youth #authority

👉🏾The Haitian Revolution brought an end to slavery and French colonial rule in Haiti in 1804. 👉🏾 In Saint Lucia and the rest of the English-speaking Caribbean, our enslaved ancestors were freed in 1834, a year after the official proclamation. 👉🏾 The formal end of slavery in the Spanish-speaking countries of South and Central America occurred during pivotal independence movements which began as early as the 1810s, with slavery ending in most of these countries by the 1850s. Slavery in Puerto Rico ended in 1873, and in Cuba in 1886. 👉🏾 After a 10-year transition period from the initial proclamation, enslaved persons in Suriname and the Dutch Antilles were freed in 1873. 👉🏾 In 1888, Brazil was the last country in the Americas where slavery came to an end. ---------- Juneteenth (June 19) commemorates the end of slavery in the United States which is an important part of this timeline. Occurring in 1865, this places the US as one of the last countries to end slavery in the Americas. This TedX animation was beautifully and intentionally crafted and gives a comprehensive overview of the end of slavery in the United States and the continued fight for racial equality for Black Americans to this day.

#Question: Do #parenting & society’s use of problematic #philosophy & bad theology prevent personal growth & perpetuate resentment/estrangement in kids as they grow up to be adults? #postcolonialism provided new #freedoms met with, #dogmas, rules and the #bureacraticphenomenon (the #irony of #independence). Today’s episode of #theneoliberalroundpodcast is quite powerful, #ethnographic and #esoteric, entitled “I could’ve been a #UsainBolt or like a #SerenaWilliams but….” The episode features my twin brother #RicardoMckenzie and Co-Producer/host #DonteNelson and of course #RenaldoMcKenzie, Your host. We went deep looking at issues of success as it is affected by ineffective parenting and society; raising and exploring the question: how poverty/parenting/society’s institutions use of problematic philosophy and bad #theology prevent personal growth and perpetuate estrangement and resentment in children as they grow up. https://lnkd.in/eZN4yr_i YouTube
