Is Fear of Scrutiny Holding Back Transparency in Sustainability Efforts? Recently, I had an enlightening conversation with a Chief Supply Chain Officer from a well-known organisation. He shared a candid insight: their team is cautious about discussing their sustainability initiatives publicly due to the fear of scrutiny and the intense pressure to meet 2030 sustainability targets. As we approach the latter half of this decade, this raises a pivotal question: Are companies shifting from just making commitments to actively implementing sustainable solutions? The path from pledge to action is fraught with challenges, including navigating public and media expectations. What trends are you observing in your sector? Are your sustainability efforts becoming more transparent, or does the fear of failing to meet targets lead to silence? Let's discuss how we can foster a culture of transparency and real action in sustainable business practices. #Supplychain #Procurement #Sustainability #

🌍 Getting Strategic About Sustainability 🌱 In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, sustainability is no longer just a buzzword, it's a strategic imperative! The latest insights from #HBR highlight a robust framework to help companies focus their sustainability efforts effectively. By examining sustainability through four critical lenses, business value, stakeholder influence, science and technology, and purpose, leaders can align their strategies to achieve meaningful impact and drive long-term success. This article emphasizes that many companies spread themselves too thin by tackling too many sustainability issues simultaneously, leading to scattered efforts and minimal impact. Using the four-lens framework, businesses can prioritize initiatives that intersect all these areas, ensuring a balanced approach that meets internal and external pressures. Keurig Dr Pepper's example illustrates how this framework can be applied in practice. It also demonstrates the importance of strategic focus in achieving sustainability goals. Can we embrace and adopt this structured approach to make a real difference in our sustainability journeys? Can we? #Sustainability #StrategicPlanning #BusinessStrategy #CorporateResponsibility #SustainableGrowth
