Thanks for resharing this good article, Elizabeth Freeman and Kevin D'Souza are 100% the real deal. A basic bottom line is that communities are broader stakeholders are essential for conflict-free projects - building trust and earning social license isn't about giving value away or charity, it is the work of business, aligning key constituents for success. It is worth remembering that artisanal miners, often sharing large project land concessions, are a key element of social license as well, not just because they were often on the ground before large mines, but because they are inherently extensions of nearby communities.

The 400 IRMA obligations are sure criteria to safeguard the negative impacts of mining and I think mining companies should submit to auditing
