Love isn't just a fleeting emotion; it's a force that drives us to support and uplift one another, to create positive change, and to build a world where everyone thrives. At Synergistic Homies Initiatives (S.H.I), we believe in harnessing the power of love to make a difference. That's why we're thrilled to announce our upcoming conference (Advance 2024), where we'll come together to explore how we can be a catalyst for change and empowerment. Together, we'll explore ways to reach and empower people in our communities, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to live a life filled with love, dignity, and purpose. But we can't do it alone. We need your support to make this conference a success. Whether it's spreading the word, volunteering your time, or making a donation, every contribution makes a difference. The day before an event is always a mix of excitement and nerves. No matter how organized everything is, there’s still that little voice in my head wondering, “Did I forget something? Will it rain? Will we make the impact we’re aiming for?” But I THRIVE on this energy. There’s something about an event deadline that’s exhilarating. Once the day arrives, it forces action—there’s no more time for perfectionism, only for things to unfold as they will. It’s a reminder that no matter how much planning goes into it, the real magic happens when people come together. And after the event? That’s when a whole new flow of work begins. It’s not just about what happens on event day, but what we do afterward to connect with participants, celebrate their involvement, and ensure the impact lasts long after everyone goes home. That's always on my mind, even as the pre-event excitement kicks in. What do you do to celebrate your event participants, partners, donors and volunteers? #EventPlanning #NonprofitEvents #CommunityBuilding #PreEventEnergy #MakingAnImpact #EventMagic #ParticipantEngagement #BuildingConnections

Well, I will say it once and of course say it again 🩷 you need to be there on February 24th. Let’s be honest, what else are you doing in the dead of winter time in Chicago? And yes, the Super Bowl will be over. Spring Break isn’t until March. This is a Saturday Morning/Afternoon and will pump you up all the way until Spring Break. I have heard comments time and time again from our first 2 conferences. It is an experience. 1. The environment is untouched. It is electrifying to see the joy, happiness and support you get when you leave the conference. 2. Yes, introverts might get a little nervous at this BUT… you will meet people and communicate. You will learn something new and enjoy company. 3. When you leave the conference, I’m sure you’ll have a new friend or business colleague. 4. We bring local experts to speak at the conference. This is all about how we in Chicagoland can make a difference so if you reside in the suburbs, this is your chance to make an impact. 5. We will throw confetti for achievements of any kind. There will be tears of happiness but we promise that this conference will move you. 6. And for all it’s worth, this conference is our largest fundraiser of the year. We throw a moving empowerment conference and these funds we make help us empower women to be their best self. If you have any hesitation, ask women who have attended before… they’ll say the same thing. Buy your ticket today 👏🏽 https://lnkd.in/gsAA-E-C #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #nonprofit

How do you show the impact of your events? Yesterday I worked with a customer on their fundraiser event. They wanted to collect video testimony from event attendees, but weren’t sure what questions to ask to solicit stories. Maybe you want to collect stories from your gathering, too. Here are 7 questions you could consider asking at your upcoming event to collect testimony. 1) What inspired you to attend this event? 2) What has been the best part of today’s event? (or) What one moment sticks out most? 3) How did you first learn about this event? 4) Describe this gathering in one word. 5) What did you learn from today’s event? 6) What’s the biggest impact this event will have? 7) Why should someone come to this gathering next year? Don’t overthink it. Questions don’t need to be overly complicated to elicit good stories. But they do need to be specific, clear, and help point the individual to specific memories or moments in time. Ask great questions to get great stories. #events #fundraisers #storytelling

Moderating sessions and conferences is simply home to me. No, I am not regular, I am not easy to figure out ,however one thing you can be rest assured is that; i'll moderate your speakers so comfortable they will speak from their heart I'll make you laugh real good (I know I don't look it, but I assure you, I do) I'll make your audience so excited they won't fall asleep at all. I am dynamic! These are some of the feedbacks I have received consistently after every session and most recently at the just concluded conference themed "Driving Collaboration for Sustainable Development" by @hislovefdn, a charity organization by the Redeemed Christian Church of God. It was explosive. As promised I will be teaching on How you can develop a solid vision that easily attracts donors. How you can leverage your impact stories to access funds and build solid collaborations. How to identify the right collaboratirs for your initiatives. Best Practices from this conference. While you can register using the link in my comment session, please do not hesitate to contact me for all thing #developmentconversations at your next conference or workshops. I hope you enjoy an excerpt from this event. #yoursindevelopment

How can you find new sources of funding for your organization? This week, we’re sharing 8 tips for identifying new donors to invest in your cause #4 – Conservative Movement Events Make a list of all the key conservative movement events that your potential supporters are likely to attend For example, as a fundraiser for a new pro-life group you might prioritize attending the March for Life and the Pro-Life Summit this week Before you attend, strategize who you’d like to connect with. Sort through any attendee lists that are available, then consider messaging prospects beforehand to set up coffee meetings Also, if you know the event organizer, ask if they’re willing to seat you next to a certain donor during one of the sessions
