Being a physical therapist is hard. Being a physical therapist who owns their business is even harder. Now, you've already seen the report we (Prompt Therapy Solutions Inc) put out around why PTs are leaving the profession...it's a difficult trend to stop. (report listed below) Now, I am not a therapist, I do not own a therapy clinic, but the organization I work for is full of them. That's important for 2 reasons. ✅ As an organization, we empathize. Solving problems with technology is only one half of the equation. When you empathize with your customer base, it changes what you build, who you partner with, how you structure your support organization, how you engage and how you strategically align yourself more closely with how your "customers feel". ✅ Our "why" isn't about just solving our customers challenges. Because we are so emotionally tied to the therapy space, our "why" is solving industry problems for all therapists, regardless of what tools you use to run your business. If you own a therapy business and want to just talk through some of your challenges to learn about how others may have solved them, we want to hear from you. Not a sales call, but a conversation around what you're struggling with and how maybe our "network" might be able to help. #physicaltherapy #networking #communitybasedsolving #kindness Reference: https://lnkd.in/gzaQ3CGp

🩺 The Hidden Costs of Inefficient EMR Systems in Physical Therapy 🩺 As physical therapists, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care. However, there’s a hidden cost that many of us may overlook: the time spent on passive note-taking.📊 Here are the numbers: Net Revenue per Visit: $115 (Illinois, ave) Time Spent on Note-Taking: 15% (conservative value) Cost of Note-Taking per Visit: $17.25 (15% of net revenue) When we break it down further: Weekly Cost (5-day work week): $2,760 Monthly Cost (22 work days): $12,144 Annual Cost: $145,728! This annual figure represents the revenue equivalent of 1,267 physical therapy visits lost to passive note-taking.💡 What can we do? Clinicians have the right to advocate for efficient and supportive EMR platforms. Inefficient systems are driving burnout and disenfranchisement in the industry. Don't wait for organizations to pivot to efficiency—every clinician has the power to be an agent of change. The time wasted on mindless and inefficient documentation is time taken away from patient care, personal well-being, and time that can be given back to the clinician. #PhysicalTherapy #Healthcare #Efficiency #PatientCare #EMR #RevenueManagement #Documentation #Therapists

Keeping Patients Engaged: A Therapist's Perspective Early in my career, I didn’t use visual aids to map out patient progress. Now, I use a simple whiteboard and color system to help patients understand their rehab goals clearly. It's a small change, but it has led to significant improvements in patient engagement and outcomes. If you’re looking for new strategies to boost patient engagement, let's discuss! #physicaltherapy #physiotherapy #physicaltherapist #physio #rehab #health #physiotherapist #rehabilitation #pt #wellness #mobility #exercise #painrelief #workout #dpt #neckpain #therapy #recovery

🌟 restoring optimal 🌟 In the realm of physical therapy, our ultimate goal is to empower patients to achieve independence and functionality by restoring optimal mobility, stability, controlled mobility, and skill. Here's a breakdown of these key aspects and how they contribute to advanced physical therapy practice: 1️⃣ Mobility: Restoring Range of Motion (ROM) through stretching exercises, mobilization, and strengthening exercises targeting superficial muscles, known as mobilizers. By enhancing mobility, we promote flexibility and movement efficiency, paving the way for improved function. 2️⃣ Stability: Establishing stability in the proximal parts of the body to facilitate mobilization in the distal parts. This involves strengthening exercises that target deep muscles, acting as stabilizers. Enhanced stability forms the foundation for controlled and coordinated movements. 3️⃣ Controlled Mobility: Focusing on restoring the natural movement patterns by training patients in correct functional movements. Through functional training, individuals learn to move with precision, control, and efficiency, reducing the risk of injury and optimizing performance. 4️⃣ Skill: Cultivating the ability to execute functional tasks consistently with minimal effort. By honing skills related to movement and task performance, patients can navigate daily activities with confidence and ease, promoting independence and quality of life. As physical therapists, we are dedicated to leveraging these fundamental principles to guide patients on their journey towards improved function, independence, and overall well-being. Let's continue to elevate our practice to deliver comprehensive care and support the long-term goals of those we serve. #PhysicalTherapy #PatientCare #Functionality #Independence #Movement #Rehabilitation #Healthcare

Practice owner: “I don’t understand why we’re not able to attract more physical therapists. We have a great employer brand and reputation” Looked at the content the practice was putting out. All geared towards clients and patients, nothing that speaks to physical therapists. So many practice owners just recycle the same ‘ol content as every other practice and expect different results. Physical therapists want to align themselves with practice owners who will help them elevate their own clinical brand and reputation. You don’t need to post another external shoulder rotation video. Agree or disagree? 🤔 #physicaltherapy #PT #healthcare
