Folks, If you are going to be at #nvidia GTC next week, would like to invite you to consider attending a live session Kevin Deierling is leading that he asked me to join to help cover. The session is called "Enabling Enterprise Generative AI with Optimized Ethernet AI Networking[S62521", it is Tuesday March 19th at 4pm.
I am told by very diligent and serious folks at my company that I am not going to be allowed to pre-announce stuff next week. But keep in mind that I and my team focus daily on building stuff, I am not a thought leader, CTO, GM, or a product marketing type; so maybe something is being built, and maybe we are working closely with KevinD and his team. Maybe if you squint next week just a little, you'll see it.
To see the session go to this page listing Nvidia GTC networking sessions and it is fourth down (kind of awkward way to point at it, but reasons) : https://lnkd.in/gAuHnJVJ
In summary, looking forward to next week, appreciate the invite from KevinD, and hope to see folks. Really excited about the disruptions happening in our industry and enjoying the engineering that goes with it. Now going to puke out pointers to a few of the folks involved in all the fun : Kevin Deierling , Marty Jain , Kevin Connors, Jonathan Davidson , Kevin Wollenweber , Denise Shiffman , Vijay Tapaskar, Praveen Bhagwatula , Rob Rodgers , Jeremy Foster , Jake Katz, Rakesh Dubey, Andy Sholomon, Lukas Krattiger, Yoko Izumi.
I like to end my internal Cisco emails with fake FAQs (don't ask), so will add one here.
Q. Will - this is such a polished linkedin post, no spelling or grammar mistakes, and some awesome use of punctuation (thought I saw a semicolon up there, wow, just wow) do you have a dedicated comms person ?
A. umm what, am I supposed to ? I think there is someone I am supposed to have to review my stuff, but they always want me to clean up the passages I find most amusing. maybe next time.
Q. Will - you only seem to post couple times a year on linkedin (at best), are you going to be rambling more for us here in this loosely knit collection of few thousand people you met or worked with in the past 25 years ?
A. Well now you are making me feel guilty, there are many great people I have worked with in the past that I miss, ok maybe a couple more posts (but if I post too much then I will obligated to spend more time on linkedin and that doesn't sound fun, so lets not expect too much).
Thanks,
Will
