I love companies like MotherDuck that bet the farm on the promise of DuckDB and are bringing it to masses. Moving data is expensive, that’s why MIPS is meeting compute where it happens. This means creating compute products that enable processing to happen as close to the data source as possible and not need to be transported across the country, or even across a data center, to the compute nodes.
