🎰 AWS re:Invent '23 - Predictions 🎰 ❓With just a few days until AWS re:Invent 2023 I have put together my 3 top predictions of what I think we will see throughout the week and the impact to customers on AWS (and those that aren’t!)❓ 👨💻 Further simplification of AI tools 👨💻 As competition heats up between the hyper scalers - I expect to see AWS come out with a number of simplifications to existing tools to make them more accessible - with the pre re:Invent release of https://partyrock.aws/ (PartyRock) we can already see AWS’ attitude towards democratising AI tools for customers, I expect to see this prevailing attitude extend to other services - making it easier to integrate the powerful tools that already exist, requiring less work from development teams. 💸 Advancements in custom silicon to reduce costs of AI workloads 💸 With AWS Trainium and Inferentia AWS has already shown its hand in the custom silicon space. Given the explosion in AI adoption I expect to see further announcements in this space - with customers benefiting from the already large economies of scale AWS possess coupled with increased performance per pound - one of the main points of friction when it comes to AI/ML becomes a little less contentious. 🧠 Tools and services to enable data driven decision making 🧠 With AWS QuickSight already providing users with AI driven tools to drive decision making I expect to see a number of announcements throughout the week on quality of life improvements to AWS QuickSight and other services for users. Given the proximity of data to services like QuickSight we may well see further use of generative models to give meaning to data in new and exciting ways (watch this space!)
