𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀...𝗬𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘆? Do you look 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 to companywide holiday parties? Or would you rather bypass it for a gift certificate to 𝘙𝘶𝘵𝘩'𝘴 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴 or the 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦? My son Jack came home from his mechanic's job the other night all excited. His boss personally invited him to their holiday party. The icing on the cake? It's next door to a bowling alley! W00-H00! (𝘐 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵'𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 now 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨?!? Where's that interrobang symbol when I need one?) This will be Jack's first of many holiday parties, and I think it's soooo cute to see him get all excited over stuff we take for granted...or even dread. After all, those work parties can be tough to navigate: 👉I've seen careers destroyed after too much liquid courage to tell the boss what they 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 think. 👉I've seen the secret coke bar in the ladies' room (not the kind you drink). 👉I've seen introverts and #neurodivergents racing towards the parking lot when they thought no one was paying attention. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠? Are companywide gatherings and off-site corporate sales trips an outdated concept? Or are they our way to regain the social skills and soft skills we've somehow lost from lockdowns? 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙞𝙩? #holidayparties #corporateparty #salesincentives #corporatetravel

Senior Aircraft Ground Support Technician and Egress Specialist at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) Experienced in working with Citation X+, G280 and G550
I think this is a wonderful way to take care of your employees. A great way to show you care about their physical and mental health. Productivity is low during this time for most companies. It would be great for more companies to adopt this type of mentality.
Work doesn’t have to suck is our purpose. And you know what sucks? Working during the holidays. So we don’t. From December 22nd to January 3rd. All of our 104 employees get paid to NOT work. They get paid to stay home and spend time with their family and friends. This is the stuff that pumps us up! We committed to it 4 years ago and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Some of our clients complain. Our competitors call us stupid. We don’t care. Because work not sucking is what we’re all about. And when you say you’re about something you make damn sure it’s not just words. Happy New Year Guys! Excited to keep sharing our stories with yall. Love you, missed you 😘 (PS. The pic below is at our company Holiday party. We spent $30k to fly everyone in, put em up for the night, and party at AT&T stadium - it’s most def not mandatory - 80% attendance rate!)

The Simple Acts of Acknowledgment: How Small Gestures Can Make a Big Difference for Employees In addition to my real estate business, as a provider of private yacht charters, I've witnessed firsthand the sincere appreciation employees had toward their employer's big gesture of a Lake Michigan cruise aboard Adeline's Sea Moose as a token of gratitude. However, and more importantly, I learned that even though the employees appreciated their employer's big gesture, many also wished for small gestures, simple acts of acknowledgment at their workplace. In the fast-paced and often stressful world of work, I'd like to share my simple acts of acknowledgment that go a long way in making employees feel valued and appreciated. These small, day-to-day gestures have the most immediate and positive impact on morale and motivation and empower employers to make a significant difference in their employees' lives. https://lnkd.in/gQJ4c5SK

I don’t usually post much here, but I wanted to share some thoughts from my first week at Bellway. It’s Friday night, and I’m sat here thinking about work (in a good way!). It’s only been a week, but I already feel like I belong. Here are a few things that have stood out to me: Flexibility – The hours are flexible, which is a game-changer for me. Those who know me well know how much I love skating 3-4 times a week. With an early start, I can finish early and still make time for the things I’m passionate about. Perks & Rewards – From discounts on various services to other employee perks, the rewards are fantastic. But what truly stands out is the people. I’ve wrapped up my first week feeling genuinely happy and welcomed. There's a lot to learn before Sammie goes on maternity leave, but I know I’m in good hands. Feeling excited about the journey ahead, even on a Friday night! #newbeginnings #feelingvalued #worklifebalance

As we head into the 4th of July holiday in the United States, and the heart of summer, many of us are taking some well-deserved time off. It's a great reminder of how much we value everyone's contributions that hospitality happen. We were reminded of a blog post we published a while back about creating "vacation heroes" – those individuals who go above and beyond to provide stellar customer service. It got us thinking about what we can learn from them. Whether it’s a cruise ship crew member who ensures your comfort or a server who finds a way to meet your dietary needs while delighting your palate, these heroes demonstrate the importance of a strong, supportive culture. Lou Gerstner said it best: “Culture isn’t just one aspect of the game – it is the game.” This holds true for any business. By hiring the right people and fostering a culture that prioritizes customer experience, we can create our own "heroes" who delight and impress customers every day. What lessons can we bring back to our own teams from these vacation heroes? Check out the full article for more insights: https://lnkd.in/gfcwdgVF Enjoy your holiday and remember to appreciate the heroes making your time off special! #CustomerExperience #CompanyCulture #VacationHeroes #Leadership #4thOfJuly

As we celebrate the first anniversaries of our founding leadership team at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, we reflect on the foundation they’ve laid. Each associate who’s been with us now proudly wears a water drop on their nametag, symbolizing their dedication to our shared mission: “Caring for the Enhanced Vitality of All.” But what does it truly mean to care? Care is not just a feeling, but an active commitment—nurturing connections, showing empathy, and fostering growth in the well-being of others. It’s about the people we influence, whether it’s our teams, communities, families, or even ourselves. Genuine care is comprehensive. Think about the times you’ve felt truly fulfilled—those moments of well-being remind us that personal and professional growth are inseparable. To enhance vitality is to embrace continuous improvement, striving for excellence both personally and collectively. At Murrieta, we live our purpose by actively engaging in our mission, sharing knowledge, and working towards meaningful contributions. Thank you, Michael, for sharing this ZEISS-Holiday-Animation. It is great summary of ZEISS IQS’s portfolio, but I've already received feedback from people who aren't so familiar with our portfolio that they don't understand the animation. So let me give a brief explanation: After the snowflakes at the beginning, you see a changing blue fringe patterns projected onto the sphere referring to our optical 3D measuring systems (https://lnkd.in/e-iPXEgu). The color change of the sphere shows the typical colored representation of the fringe projection measurement results in the measurement software (https://lnkd.in/eBaN9Dac) along with some typical drawing indicators for spheres. Afterward you see a roundness measurement with a tactile probe, as used on a CMM (https://lnkd.in/e4SAKg9b) and the result. Finally, you can use Computer Tomography (https://lnkd.in/est42ZqS) to look inside the sphere to discover the star. Thank you to #teamZEISS Marketing for the great idea!
As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to all who made this year a great success. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to our company. We wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year. Here's to another year of growth and accomplishments! #HappyHolidays #NewYear2024
