JND Legal Administration, support that is superficial is getting called out these days. Supporting the LGBTQ+ community requires more than making a post and supporting gay white men… you’ve still got to work on eliminating racism and sexism in your workplace before you can be any kind of positive ally. Yes, I know Jennifer Keough and Neil Zola (who has either removed his profile, or is a sexist and racist coward who blocked me) don’t care. However, Jen seems to care about her social media image and Neil seems to care about liability. A push on both could help towards change. Holding yourself to the standards of Seattle would help your social media image, reduce liability, and if done correctly, would increase both morale and productivity. Did you know? Two-thirds (64%) of LGBTQ+ people have experienced anti-LGBT+ violence or abuse. As an organisation committed to raising standards in Parking, that's one of the reasons our Safer Parking Scheme, which includes our Park Mark accreditation, Park Mark Plus, Park Mark Freight, Park Access, and soon to be our Approved Meet and Greet operator schemes are so important. These schemes focus on safety features in car parks like increased lighting and video surveillance to protect motorists travelling to and from their destinations, both in the day and late at night. Diversity means a lot when it touches you personally. It doesn't strictly mean that you need to be one to know one... Without entering into personal details, I have seen many individuals reaching out their true potential and being fully recognised once they felt welcomed and accepted. Diversity is about creating an environment where everyone feels respected and valued for who they are, regardless of their background, identity, or experiences. When people feel safe and supported, they are more likely to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities in meaningful ways.
