📢 Empowering the Garments Industry of Bangladesh through Pareto Analysis 📣 As Bangladesh's garment industry becomes more competitive and efficient, Pareto analysis emerges as a beacon of strategic insight, guiding manufacturers toward optimal resource allocation and quality improvement. By performing a Pareto analysis, I can identify the factors that contribute most to problems or defects, enabling me to prioritize effort and resources accordingly. I would like to show you an example: If I'm a garment factory manager facing a recurring issue of production delays. By conducting a Pareto analysis, I may discover that 80% of these delays stem from 20% of the causes, such as machine breakdowns or supply chain disruptions. This knowledge allows me to focus resources on addressing these critical issues first, reducing overall production delays significantly. Similarly, in the realm of quality management, Pareto analysis can pinpoint the primary sources of defects in garments. For instance, I might find that 80% of garment defects originate from 20% of the production processes, such as stitching or cutting errors. By focusing my quality control efforts on these critical processes, I can substantially improve the overall quality of the garments produced. Perhaps investing in data analytics tools will automate the analysis process and uncover hidden patterns or trends. developing a data-driven decision-making culture among factory workers can enable them to refine production processes independently. Location : Uttara, Dhaka Job roles : a) Ensure the samples development must correct with required quality and Leadtime. b) Ensure the placement of order to correct supplier at correct fob with required lead-time c) Monitoring the process of sales contract distribution with correct fob to correct supplier. d) Placement of imported fabric booking to correct fabric supplier at agreed price with correct lead-time e) Monitoring all the accessories booking & in-house status of nominated and non-nominated supplier with correct lead-time f) Monitoring the sample submission and approval process and ensure maintain the buyer agreed or set T&A plan date. g) Ensure the correct process maintain in all test submission [Dev., pretest, pre-production, shipment test samples, MST etc.] process to ensure get the pass test report. h) Set a correct and effective production plan and line set up with factory concern to ensure the shipment of goods on time i) Follow up the inspection schedule to ensure the lot wise inspection on time. j) Monitoring the inspection result, correct qty as per PO, CRC receipt and instruct factory to handover the goods to the forwarder keeping commercial team in cc. k) Also, cross checking correct buyer and vendor fob on documents l) Take decision in critical and technical issue arise during production with the help of line manager or director m) Give all approval for bulk shade fabric, print or related accessories. n) Weekly meeting with QC also with QA team to ensure the correct quality and product shipment in lot basis as per buyer’s requirement. o) Take proactive measures by anticipating the risk for specific/critical nature of the merchandise p) Attending buyer meetings for costing/production purpose. q) Negotiating fabric and accessories prices and find out suitable supplier for the product r) Ensure right costing of the product and negotiate with buyer s) In absence of Director merchandising representing Centro. t) Update/cooperate with Director merchandising on day to day operation. u) Review and Assess the performance of the factories for the future business partnership v) Ensure the team members are updating master sheet, tracker and OSR and other ERP tools on timely manner. a) Ensuring the correct reply of all buyers’ mail with in the same day or in some cases very next day. Correct and Quick reply is the key in business success. b) Maintain good & healthy relationship with buyer via verbal and personal communication. c)Present the up charge or technical difficulties of the orders with logical & technical explanation to get best output for company . Requirements: Graduation from a reputed university. Degree in textile engineering or related field is preferred.
