#TLevelsWeek today's theme is progression, highlighting the wide range of options that students can take after they have completed their T-Level. T Levels are two-year courses that young people can take following GCSEs. Broadly equivalent in size to 3 A levels and accruing UCAS points. T Levels were developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that students will be equipped with the skills they need. They offer a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on the job’ experience with at least 45 days spent on an industry placement with an employer. What are T-levels? T-levels are a new type of technical qualification, designed for after your GCSEs. They've been developed alongside employers to make sure that what you learn meets the needs of industry and prepares you for work. Here's some key info to give you an idea of what to expect: T-levels are two-year courses They are equivalent to three A-levels Your time is split: 80% classroom learning; 20% industry placement Placements are at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days) T-levels could help you get into skilled employment, further study or a higher apprenticeship. And yes, you guessed it, the T stands for Technical! The latest Tech Ed report draws on data from the three longitudinal surveys of the first T Level cohort. We found over a quarter of T Level completers in paid work or an apprenticeship reported working for the organisation that provided their T Level industry placement and about four-fifths of T Level completers agreed that their T Level had allowed them to progress to what they want to do. https://lnkd.in/ejqQgd_u #TLevels #Placement
