Greetings from Mount Rushmore! While on the road one of our field crews made a quick stop to see this famous landmark. A great day and a great view! #travel#worktravel#fieldwork#mtrushmore
Rugged Mountains. Rolling Hills. Dramatic Coast Lines. Castles. Golden Beaches. Bustiling Metropolises. Beautiful Countryside. Tranquil Woods. Rich Culture & History.
There are many reasons to visit Wales. As a country, it can cater for almost any type of holiday or break. Whether you are looking for a City setting, in a bustling vibrant European Capital City. An adventure Holiday with hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and zip lines. A quiet retreat with peace and quiet. Building sand castles on the beach. Wales can provide this all and much more.
What do you need to know before you arrive though? What is the climate like? When is the best time of year to visit? How easy is it to travel around the Country?
Taking various questions we have been asked by our guests whilst on a tour, and questions we come across time and time again, we have put together a "useful information" blog for anyone planning a visit to Wales.
There isnt recommendations on where to go, or what to see, as this will vary person to person. Instead, this is more general information about Wales as a whole, and things someone may find useful on their visit to Wales

National Parks - are they enough to preserve our beautiful landscapes or is there more to be done?
As England considers adding a new national park to the 10 already in place, an area covering the Chilterns, Cotswolds and Dorset may become the first since the South Downs in 2010.
Scotland may also add another one to its two current national parks, Wales to its existing three.
The original idea of preserving landscapes of particular beauty or importance, and encouraging the public to enjoy the great outdoors, is a brilliant one.
However, some national parks attract more visitors than others.
Honeypot destinations - such as Snowdonia (Eryri) and the Lake District - seem to create common challenges...cars, congestion, parking problems, scarring of mountain trails, litter and summit queues.
And funding for national parks and its services have gone down rather than up in the past decade.
Today, it can feel like the walking experience can be marred by other things.
Is it just me that feels this way or do you feel the same?
And, if so, what can we do about it? What is already being done about it?
Would love to get your opinion, ideas and suggestions.

The WA Government has set a bold plan to capture the Super Yacht industry's attention (https://lnkd.in/gBBAWu-5), and It has - Super yacht blogs and media are already talking about it.
Many see this industry as a frivolous indulgence, but I would argue they do not truly understand it. Brendan O'Shannassy is a RAN Veteran and career Super Yacht Captain at the pinnacle of an industry that employs more Australian mariners than our Navy, every Port and the entire coastal trade combined.
He has seen the good, the bad and the incredible over the last three decades and as his book (Super Yacht Captain: Life and leadership in the world's most incredible industry) attests, this is not an industry for the faint of heart: "a world where the word no does not exist". No one understands the focus, sensitivities and benefits this industry brings - alongside extensive experience on the WA Coast in the service of his Nation - as Brendan does. This industry already employs a great number of Australians - just not many in Australia.
Despite having some of the best natural coastlines and cruising environments, our Western Australian coastal infrastructure is not ideal for most of these incredible vessels. Most of our State's coastal infrastructure facilities are limited by draught and length that prevent the sort of vessels that would venture from overseas if it was otherwise the case. Small ships do not traverse great oceans - these days at least.
If WA is to succeed in delivering on the State Government's ambitions then new amenities, facilities and infrastructure are essential.
Gascoyne Gateway is the right infrastructure, in exactly the right place - and now is the time.
With an enviable coastline and glorious beaches, WA has the potential to become a unique superyacht destination.
But for this to happen, one of the key components is building the right infrastructure. Gascoyne Gateway’s proposed marine facility will have the capability to host these yachts, which will support new tourism and economic opportunities for Exmouth.
Take a read of today’s article in the West Australian by experienced superyacht captain Brendan O'Shannassy below to find out more.

What's so great about being an online business owner in Vienna?
City breaks are a few train stops away.
Previously, I mentioned how Vienna has 14 well-marked hiking trails in and around the city.
All are accessible by public transport.
And when you're ready to explore further, you can still do it car-free.
On a day trip to Mödling, we enjoyed hiking through the woods, fields, and castle ruins.
Next, we're planning day trips to Baden and Wachau Valley.
Have you escaped the office for some scenic rejuvenation recently?
