UPDATE: Due to weather, tomorrow's fireworks have been postponed. We love a good fireworks show and North Beach puts on the BEST one every year to celebrate the Fourth of July! Fireworks start at dusk tomorrow, July 3rd but be sure to get there early to find parking and save your spot. See below for traffic guidelines posted by North Beach: The traffic plan is set up to eliminate all left-hand turns on a portion of Route 261 going through the Twin Beaches, eliminating the need to stop traffic randomly and enabling traffic to flow with minimal stopping. The centerline of Route 261 will be blocked with delineation devices that will prohibit vehicles from making U-turns. Traffic north of Route 260 along Route 261 on the east side of Route 261 must make right turns and exit left on 5th Street to Boyd's Turn Road to Route 260. Traffic on the west side of Route 261 must make a right turn and exit on 27th Street to G Street to Route 260. Traffic south of Route 260 along Route 261 on the east side of Route 261 must make a right turn and must turn left onto Route 260. Traffic on the west side of Route 261 must turn right and continue along Route 261 to Summer City Blvd or continue south to Ponds Wood Road and proceed to Maryland Route 4. The above traffic plan will be instituted around the time of the start of Fireworks. Vesta Terminals has participated in 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 in Estonia and our Tallinn terminal hosted the emergency training event. The CREVEX23 crisis and evacuation exercise in Muuga was centrally coordinated by the Government Office and organized by the Estonian Rescue Board. It was the 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, focusing primarily on large-scale evacuation, crisis communication and rescue operations. The exercise involved several public authorities, the private sector, local governments of Viimsi, Jõelähtme, Maardu, Saue and Tallinn and 1,100 volunteers, and lasted up to 𝟑𝟏 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬!   During the exercise, the transmission of a threat alert was played out in real life. Text messages (EE-ALARM) with information about the exercise were sent to people in the area of danger, a radio and TV warning was broadcast via the channels of Estonian Public Broadcasting and sirens were sound in the Muuga area.   Many thanks to all participants for their hard work!
