Amazon reported more than $140 billion in sales last year from its third-party seller services, including commissions and related fulfillment and shipping fees. That sum represents nearly a quarter of the company’s total revenue. While Amazon continued to expand its 3PL operations last year, that was not the case for the vast majority of companies on TT’s updated Top 100 list of logistics providers. More than three-quarters of the companies listed saw their revenues decline in 2023 compared with the prior year as excess freight hauling capacity continued to tamp down freight rates

🔔 You can count on death, taxes, and more Amazon fee changes. Starting April 1st, Amazon introduces Low-Inventory-Level fees alongside Inventory Placement Fees. These fees aim to optimize fulfillment processes by encouraging substantial inventory levels, minimizing order delays, and reducing internal costs. Understanding Historical Days of Supply metrics is crucial. If your product falls below 28 days of coverage on both 90-day and 30-day windows, additional fees are applied, scaled by product size and weight. To avoid these fees, maintain between 45 and 60 days of inventory coverage, especially if facing supplier or shipping delays. Act swiftly to replenish low-inventory products and navigate this change effectively. For further details, check out our latest blog post from Aaron Leete: https://lnkd.in/giZwt-rV
