🎉 Happy 1-year anniversary at Dagger, Sophia Sanders! 🎉 It’s been incredible watching you grow over the past year, and I’m so excited to see all your hard work come together at our upcoming team retreat! 💪❤️ Transitioning from a non-technical company to a technical start-up is no small feat, especially in the B2B tech world. But Sophia has embraced every challenge like a pro and gracefully took all feedback. As her manager, this milestone also got me reflecting on what it takes to thrive in Ops within a start-up. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart! I hope these tips will help anyone else in Ops who’s thinking about diving into start-ups: 1️⃣ Be ready to do it all—and do it with a smile. In a physical office, I’d say, “take out the trash,” but in a remote world, this could be anything from crunching numbers to taking a small but time-consuming task off someone’s plate. 2️⃣ Stay ahead of the game—be everywhere, all the time. Anticipating your team’s needs before they ask is a superpower. 3️⃣ Embrace the energy—you set the tone for the whole team. Being the Ops cheerleader is part of the role, and your enthusiasm will be contagious. 4️⃣ Celebrate technical wins—you don’t have to be technical yourself, but you should be excited about the team’s technical milestones. If you’re not engaged, everyone will notice. I’m not going to sugarcoat it—Ops can be a thankless job sometimes. If you’re doing it well, much of what you do may go unnoticed because you’ve built such a seamless system. But that’s what makes it so impactful. 🙌

When you move out of survival mode into successful handling of the status quo - don't stop growing, but work toward even bigger and better results next! 🎯 Come with a solution We run into challenges all the time (at least most of us do 😁) but it is far more helpful and effective to present a challenge along with a proposed solution - or two. 👩👩👧👦 Relationships matter Whether it concerns colleagues, business partners or suppliers: relationships can (help) make or break your success. It's my one year anniversary at Accord this week and it's been a journey. Being on a marketing team of two isn't easy - you have to wear many hats. Demand Gen, RevOps, Enablement, SDR. But all these things helped me understand the role of GTM much better because I've been so exposed to each department. And that's the power of being at a startup like Accord. You get to see how all the pieces fit together to drive success. From generating demand to enabling sales to delivering value to customers. It's not just about executing YOUR piece of the puzzle. 🎉 Celebrating 2 Years at jemmic! 🎉 On May 2nd, I reached my two-year anniversary with Jemmic, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some key lessons and experiences that have shaped my journey: 1. 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥: At jemmic, being open and honest with colleagues and clients isn't just encouraged; it's a way of life. The open-minded culture here allows for genuine conversations where you can speak from the heart and truly be heard. 2. 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬: Mistakes are part of the process. What matters is how we learn from them and turn them into opportunities for growth and improvement. 3. 𝐁𝐞 𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫: Great developers are also great problem solvers. Understanding the business context behind the code is crucial. It adds value to our work and helps us create more effective solutions. 4. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐲: If you see room for improvement, think about it and suggest a solution. Spot a potential issue? Raise it early so we can address it head-on and avoid surprises. 5. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡: I've learned so much from my colleagues, both in terms of hard skills and soft skills. Their patience and willingness to share knowledge are inspiring. At the same time, they are open to learning from me, despite my junior status. It's a truly collaborative environment. I see many opportunities for growth here at jemmic, and I'm grateful for the chance to work with such a talented and supportive team. When we first started growing PINCHO I constantly heard the term “company culture,” but candidly, I wasn’t entirely sure what it really meant. At the time, it felt like an overused buzzword, with few concrete examples of how to actually build and maintain a great culture. Then, I had the privilege of meeting Guibert Englebienne from Globant , a fellow Endeavor entrepreneur and a dear friend, who gave an incredible presentation on the topic. One thing he said has stayed with me ever since: “Your company culture, like a child, will grow whether you like it or not. Your job as a parent is to guide that growth and instill great values. The same principle applies to your company.” That insight was a turning point for me. He emphasized that being intentional is essential. You need to set clear guidelines and create a framework to shape your culture into something you’re proud of. Otherwise, if you let it grow unchecked, it will develop without the values you care about, and likely into something you won’t recognize. This lesson has stuck with me ever since, shaping the way I approach building not just a business, but a team and a shared vision.
