Life is more interesting and nuanced when it doesn't fit in a nice, matchy-matchy package. We are allowed an Intermission--that time when you get up from your seat, bump elbows with strangers, and find your way to the snack bar. You visit the bathroom, run gloss over your lips, and stretch your legs. It's the messy in-between. The intentional pause with a side of mild chaos. Intermissions remind us that the future has yet to be created. In times of uncertainty, overwhelm and stress, we can easily feel lost or unstable. I encourage you to find time to ground yourself. Walk through the leaves. Listen to the leaves crunch beneath your feet. Be present. Pay attention to what you see, hear, smell, feel and taste. See the trees standing tall without leaves. Feel the crisp fall air on your skin. 🌬️ Smell the scent of burning fireplaces. 🔥 Hear the cars wizzing by and the sound of leaves beneath your feet. 👣 “Plant your feet onto the earth’s solid ground. Let your feet crunch the leaves with sound. Feel a sense of calm with nature’s crunch. Take one, two steps then a bunch. Listen to nature’s intuition and hunch. Breathe in positivity and fresh air.
