In July, Tairāwhiti Whenua presented to Minister Shane Jones, communicating the unique perspectives and insights as the largest network of Maori landowners in Aotearoa New Zealand and engaging in conversations about regional economic growth and opportunities to drive productivity, prosperity and resilience throughout the Tairāwhiti region. Tairāwhiti Whenua know how crucial strong local industries are for our communities, and there is a growing need for our region to be economically resilient. We see a vital role for the Government as an enabler of growth through the right policy, regulatory settings and strategic co-investment. Through these activities, Tairāwhiti Whenua members can forge their own paths, leaning into their own strengths and leading with the mana of our own people. We look forward to continued discussions for new opportunities and economic advancement for our members, landowners as the kaitiaki of their whenua and taiao, and for our region and whenua Maori collectively. #tairawhitiwhenua

Assalamualaikum wbkrkth & salam sejahtera, rakan-rakan sekalian… “Jikalau tidak berada-ada, masakan tempua bersarang rendah”. Attending a significant federal government meeting in Putrajaya, especially at the Ministry of Economy, is not merely an 'honor' or 'glamour,' but rather a 'burden.' It is a responsibility and trust that must be shouldered and executed as well as possible. ✅ If we can't achieve five, three is still sufficient. ✅ If we can't get much, even a little is worth being grateful for. Ignore what people say. Let’s chat about real estate and the current Malaysian market. #Putrajaya #Federalgovernment #projectmonitoring #developmentgrant #industrialprojects #doctorproperties

Ode-Ondo There are 36 states in Nigeria and if you critically examine these states, you'd notice that they're either named after a popular river like Kogi, Kwara (as a matter of fact, Kwara is a local name for River Niger), Kaduna, Benue, Imo, Niger, Osun, Ogun etc. Some are named after their capital cities like Kano, Gombe, Katsina, Enugu, Sokoto etc while some are named after the tribal nomenclature of the people that dominate the said state like Edo, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti etc. However, two of these 36 states are unique in themselves in the sense that they answer the name of their states but are not the capital cities of their state. These two states are Oyo and Ondo. What is the nexus between these two states? What is that distinguished status that makes them unique? These and many other questions are what we intend to answer with this page. Do well to follow and engage us as you're in for an historical walk in memory lane. #oyo #ondo #omoatiba #ekimogun #asa #kaaroojire #omoluabi #pacesetters #sunshiners #ondohistoricals

Today, the Hikoi (peaceful March) against the Treaty Principles Bill reached Parliament. Seeing Māori and Pākehā walk together in solidarity was profound reminder that Te Tiriti o Waitangi is more than words on paper—it is the founding document of Aotearoa New Zealand, a cornerstone of our national identity, and a commitment to partnership between Māori and the Crown. It’s troubling that we find ourselves in a position where the principles underpinning Te Tiriti are even up for debate. The Treaty is not a historical relic; it’s a living commitment that shapes who we are as a nation and how we should move forward—together. The introduction of measures that challenge this partnership raises important questions: Are we honouring our founding commitment, or are we allowing it to be diluted and questioned in ways that undermine its significance? For Māori, who make up nearly 18% of our population yet face persistent disadvantages in health, income, and education, this is not just a policy debate; it’s about equity, recognition, and upholding promises that have too often been overlooked. Today’s Hikoi was a testament to the strength and unity of those who believe that Te Tiriti must be protected, respected, and honoured. It’s time for us all to reflect—should the foundation of our nation, a covenant rooted in partnership, really be up for question? #ToituTeTiriti #Partnership #ReflectAndRespect #Aotearoa

#EboyinState: With a population of more than 3 million people, Ebonyi State is gradually becoming a formidable force among the Southeast states of Nigeria. The number of blazing lighted flyovers in the state is a testament to the wonders germinating in the state. Despite being a small state, it hosts many infrastructures and is fueled with speedy economic growth and development. Known as the salt of the nation due to its large salt deposits in Okposi and Uburu, metaphorically, Ebonyi State gives a favorable taste to the nation with its flavors of beauty, artwork, culture, and heritage. Ebonyi State is bordered in the North and Northeast by Benue, West by Enugu, Southwest by Abia, and East and Southeast by Cross Rivers. Abakiliki is the state’s capital. It is the largest city in the state and the center of agricultural trade, commerce, and industries. The city is laced with an array of luxurious architectural infrastructures. Developmental activities propping in the state have Abakiliki as an active mitochondria. Amasiri is the food basket of the state, with a plethora of agricultural activities and produce. The Amasiri flyover takes routes to neighboring states like Enugu and Abia, which has helped to improve economic and business activities in the town. Uwana and Ndibe Beaches are important recreation and relaxation centers. The beaches serve as good avenues to have a peaceful solitary time with oneself or with friends and family. #OpeningMonologue #DiasporaNews #News #Tourism #investment #igboamakatiktok #ebonyi #ebonyistate #development #southeastnigeria #abakaliki #afikpo #amasiri #governance

The recently tabled Kannadigas Reservation Bill in Karnataka has sparked intense debate. Designed to offer local communities reservations in education and employment, it requires private firms to ensure a major portion of their employees are Kannadigas. This aims to preserve the Kannada language and culture. However, critics argue it might lead to regionalism, excluding non-Kannadiga residents and possibly impeding the state's inclusive growth. As globalization intensifies, should we adopt such policies? Or should we seek a balance between preserving our identity and broader inclusion? And on a lighter note, if this keeps up, we'll soon need a reservation to reserve a reservation! 😂 #KarnatakaReservationBill #ReservationPolicy #KarnatakaGovernment
